Photo Hunt - Fake

When Jaymes was much younger, he used to think up many excuses, even up to all sorts of tricks so as to get his way. Wonder who he takes after? :)

His most frequent and famous trick was to fake an urgent need to pee. The above photo was taken at Sentosa Island, a famous tourist attraction in Singapore. We took some time to coax him to pose in front of the fountain. He had to do this just when I was snapping the photo!

And there were the faked illnesses whenever he felt like skipping school!

Jaymes in the fake Batman suit that my brother bought for him in China. He loved it so much, he wore it everyday. When I went up on The Pyramid TV game show, he wore it to the studio shoot. The game show host, audience and TV crew were so tickled by him!

Another time he wore it to Jakarta and Cianjur, Indonesia. When the customs officers at the airports saw this fat and short Batman, they couldn't help laughing out loud! And of course Jaymes received lots of candies for his cuteness! :)

  3. Your photos and stories about Jaymes caused me to reflect on my sons' own ways on how they would do similar things to get their own ways. With five boys there were many and each one had his own way. Now that they are all grown and on their own I cannot wait for the grandchildren to walk in the same foot steps. Thank You

  8. The Pyramid Game, i remember it wasn't an easy game to play. But I was not a regular follower of the show.

The Batman suit is indeed enticing. :)

  11. I think thatr story is similar to children the world over, certainly reminds me of my daughter, the only difference is that as far as i know she is not a super hero...

  19. haha. Yes. Whenever we are in restaurant, and if my son doesn't like his food, he will fake wanna go toilet.

    Hmm...

  21. Judy,
grrrrr...... lucky you live far away, or else I chase you with my chopper! hahaha.....

Jaymes' character is more like his Dad - dense, gentle, caring, naive, trusting. I'm training him to be a businessman, some of these good traits are not good for a businessman.

He does have my humour and wit. hehe....

  22. Hi Mark!
hahaha.... it's tough being a super hero's Mom.

  23. mamabok,
hehehe..... Jaymes attracts a lot of attention when he was young, he had lots of cute actions. Pity I didn't have a video-recorder then. :(

  27. chen,
Yes, the first picture is very natural. He was really urgent and became a little fountain (imagine the little boy sprouting water display) right after the photo shoot. No time to rush him to the loo! The grass got some fertilising. hehehe.....

    ReplyDelete

  42. hi meeyauw,
Yes, Jaymes can have some really silly excuses just to skip school.
He didn't get his way though. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Why did the excuses to stay home from school never work for me? Perhaps I was not the best actress.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That's why we take these photos - to embarrass them when they're older! Cute...

    ReplyDelete
  45. What a cute take on the theme, he is a cute little boy!

  46. Awww...that "pee" photo is just too cute. LOL

    Happy Weekend.

  47. I think as I got to the bottom of the post where you say he got lots of candy for being so cute that I had to agree he must be learning lots from his mum.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I do things to get away with stuff too, like I put my paws over my nose and look really sorry before I get told off, it works every time.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Cute, cute, CUTE!!

How clever. Boy, I had a tough time coming up with something fake. Y'all seem to make it look so easy for the theme.

    Happy Hunting.

  55. The suit is fake but the cuteness is real. :-)

  56. srp,
Jaymes didn't get his way most of the times when he faked his illness. He was a good actor but his Mom was too smart for him. hehehe.....
