His most frequent and famous trick was to fake an urgent need to pee. The above photo was taken at Sentosa Island, a famous tourist attraction in Singapore. We took some time to coax him to pose in front of the fountain. He had to do this just when I was snapping the photo!
And there were the faked illnesses whenever he felt like skipping school!
Jaymes in the fake Batman suit that my brother bought for him in China. He loved it so much, he wore it everyday. When I went up on The Pyramid TV game show, he wore it to the studio shoot. The game show host, audience and TV crew were so tickled by him!
Another time he wore it to Jakarta and Cianjur, Indonesia. When the customs officers at the airports saw this fat and short Batman, they couldn't help laughing out loud! And of course Jaymes received lots of candies for his cuteness! :)
awwwwwwwww... :)
ReplyDeletemalique,
ReplyDeletehehehehehe..........
LOL - This is so funny!!! I think I'm going to try that next time I dread a meeting :P
ReplyDeleteThanx for the tip ;)
Hi dizzy dee.
ReplyDeleteNo lah! Don't lah!
Your Boss will smack your backside! hehehe....
Your photos and stories about Jaymes caused me to reflect on my sons' own ways on how they would do similar things to get their own ways. With five boys there were many and each one had his own way. Now that they are all grown and on their own I cannot wait for the grandchildren to walk in the same foot steps. Thank You
ReplyDelete*tickles the tummy*
ReplyDeletekekekeke...
happy weekend, dear ecl jie ;)
Hi Teacher Dave,
ReplyDeleteWow! You have 5 boys! Yes, I am looking forward to grandchildren already, so I know how you feel. :)
so cute!
ReplyDeleteMy angel,
ReplyDeletehehehehe.....
You have a happy weekend too! :)
Hi Bunny Beth,
ReplyDeletehehe.... yes, Jaymes was cute when he was younger.
The first picture is SOOOOOOO cute!! :D
ReplyDeletehahaha... day-dreamer,
ReplyDeleteI find it funny!
The Pyramid Game, i remember it wasn't an easy game to play. But I was not a regular follower of the show.
ReplyDeleteThe Batman suit is indeed enticing. :)
oceanskies,
ReplyDeleteYes, The Pyramid Game Show was not easy to play. I almost won. grrr....
Jaymes as a fat and short Batman was hilarious!
James so cute wor. I say he takes after his mummy lor. :P
ReplyDeleteOK, ok....don't be angry. You asked a question, I give an honest answer mah. Hehehe.
Wah, luckily I live far away from you otherwise you will hentam me. :)
My kinda guy... lol
ReplyDeleteI think thatr story is similar to children the world over, certainly reminds me of my daughter, the only difference is that as far as i know she is not a super hero...
ReplyDeleteHe's too cute..!
ReplyDeleteI would have given him loads of candies too..!
He is just too cute and naughty. Sometimes we need it too.
ReplyDeleteMine is up.
Buahahha....you got fake wonderwoman suit or not? Then your man got superman suit or not? Whole family can shoot SuperFriends liao! Wahahah!
ReplyDeleteLOL @ fake illness! as a kid I was too chicken to fake illnesses to get out of schooling. my mom would certainly whoop my butt... lol!
ReplyDeleteI love the first picture. So natural.
ReplyDeleteJaymes looks so cute drinking milk with the batman suit. LOL
Oh, you described that so well. Those are precious pictures. I enjoyed it...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for the theme ECL. Jaymes is adorable despite this faking habit.
ReplyDeletehaha. Yes. Whenever we are in restaurant, and if my son doesn't like his food, he will fake wanna go toilet.
ReplyDeleteHmm...
Haha..Batman drinking out of a nen nen bottle...kakkakakka..
ReplyDeleteJudy,
ReplyDeletegrrrrr...... lucky you live far away, or else I chase you with my chopper! hahaha.....
Jaymes' character is more like his Dad - dense, gentle, caring, naive, trusting. I'm training him to be a businessman, some of these good traits are not good for a businessman.
He does have my humour and wit. hehe....
Jose,
ReplyDeletehahaha.....
Hi Mark!
ReplyDeletehahaha.... it's tough being a super hero's Mom.
mamabok,
ReplyDeletehehehe..... Jaymes attracts a lot of attention when he was young, he had lots of cute actions. Pity I didn't have a video-recorder then. :(
Hi Friday's child,
ReplyDeleteRight, our kids are our pride and joy. :)
tigerfish,
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for those suits, then the whole family can have the picture taken! hehe....
May,
ReplyDeleteWow! Your mom so strict! Manja manja mah. I thought little girls are good at that. :)
chen,
ReplyDeleteYes, the first picture is very natural. He was really urgent and became a little fountain (imagine the little boy sprouting water display) right after the photo shoot. No time to rush him to the loo! The grass got some fertilising. hehehe.....
Hi Michele,
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming.
Hi jmb,
ReplyDeletehahaha.... yes. Jaymes is a charming fella, until now.
yenjai,
ReplyDeleteReally!? Especially when you order too many vegies? :)
Kids are so smart, they twist you round their little fingers.
eve,
ReplyDeleteYes, the childhood pic of Batman. He's also human wat. hehehe....
Haha, this is a fun entry! I can relate. But I wonder what James' reaction would be reading this? :)
ReplyDeleteLOL...your photo for this weeks theme made me laugh right out loud and giggle too! So typical of kids...someday he will regret you having this photo...lol...Thanks for visiting my photo today!
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is such a childhood classic. My eldest son pulled this a few times while shopping.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday, Biker Betty :)
Love Jaymes in that Batman costume. He looks so cute while sleeping. Happy 070707 and have a good weekend :)

Haha... I wonder Why am I the only one who noticed that :)
Oh geez, I had to laugh when I saw the first picture ! and the batman costume is very nice too !
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. He's a cutie! FAKE Photo Hunt
ReplyDeleteLOL! That's cute!
ReplyDelete0:) Amber
Those are cute pictures, though! It's tricky when kids feign illness.
ReplyDeletelynn,
ReplyDeleteHe said,"What the toot!" hahaha....
He can't remember any of these! Probably faking, again! :)
powerstwinb,
ReplyDeletehahaha.... Jaymes has no memory of any of these. He laughs too when he saw these pictures. He cannot imagine himself so tiny though. :)
Hi biker Betty,
ReplyDeleteSeems like the kids have been teaching one another by spreading this trick around. :)
Hi criz lai,
ReplyDeleteYes..... Happy 070707! It comes only in a thousand years!
Thanks for your keen observation. Need to fix that soon.
gattina,
ReplyDeletehaha... glad you enjoy it. :)
mama bear June.
ReplyDeletehahaha... thanks. I'm going over to yours. :)
Hi amber,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping in. :)
hi meeyauw,
ReplyDeleteYes, Jaymes can have some really silly excuses just to skip school.
He didn't get his way though. :)
Why did the excuses to stay home from school never work for me? Perhaps I was not the best actress.
ReplyDeleteThat's why we take these photos - to embarrass them when they're older! Cute...
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute take on the theme, he is a cute little boy!
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting and happy weekend
Awww...that "pee" photo is just too cute. LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
I think as I got to the bottom of the post where you say he got lots of candy for being so cute that I had to agree he must be learning lots from his mum.
ReplyDeleteI do things to get away with stuff too, like I put my paws over my nose and look really sorry before I get told off, it works every time.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteHow clever. Boy, I had a tough time coming up with something fake. Y'all seem to make it look so easy for the theme.
Happy Hunting.
Oh...that was very imaginative...you figured out the theme well! It was a hard one!
ReplyDeleteha haah..love the first fake pix.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny!
That's great!! Great take on the theme.
ReplyDeleteYou're a genius!
Too cute!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I have heard news from other fellow bloggers that you have clinched 4 awards at the Ping.sg award event.
ReplyDeleteCheers!!
Go Eastcoastlife go!
That's so cute and funny. Might be a sign that you'll have an actor for a son someday. :)
ReplyDeleteThe suit is fake but the cuteness is real. :-)
ReplyDeletesrp,
ReplyDeleteJaymes didn't get his way most of the times when he faked his illness. He was a good actor but his Mom was too smart for him. hehehe.....
amazing gracie,
ReplyDeletehahaha.... I didn't mean to embarrass Jaymes with these pictures. Little kids are just so cute!!!!
Hi mar,
ReplyDeleteThanks. You have a great weekend too! :)
Hi Pat,
ReplyDeleteThanks. Have a great weekend too! :)
letha,
ReplyDeletehahaha... Am I that cute too?
Hi bounce,
ReplyDeleteOh, amazing. Where did you learn that from? :)
Hooting anni,
ReplyDeleteThanks. :)
Just look around you, there are lots of things, people or event that you can associate with the theme each week. Not that difficult dearie.
Thank you hummie,
ReplyDeleteI try to do a different take on each theme, if possible. :)
Hi mott!
ReplyDeletehehe... thanks.
awww.... gewels. :)
ReplyDeleteHi deb,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
oceanskies,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Thanks for your support.
heart of rachael,
ReplyDeletehaha.... yes, it seems Jaymes is keen to get into the entertainment industry. He appeared in a couple of TV dramas and has gone for another TV audition on Friday. :)
awww.... thanks Bernard. :)
ReplyDeletecute!
ReplyDeleteHi vader's mom,
ReplyDeleteYour Vader is cute too! hehe....
What a creative take on our fake theme. I think all children have faked things as they were growing up.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!

awwww ... so cute! my son, when he was around three years youger (he's eight now), used to love his batman costume, too! he used to wear it on all of the parties that he was invited, and when we go out of town. so cute, i miss those times... :)
ReplyDeletegran (angela),
ReplyDeleteYes, kids have faked things before they can have the real ones! :)
Hi amanda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping in. Have a great week ahead! :)
Hi mommyba,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping in.
maiylah,
