I was lucky to be invited to participate in the LG Shine Blogger Relations Program. I was loan the latest in LG's series of 'Black Label' high-end mobile phones, dubbed 'Shine' in May this year, a day before my birthday. :) I'm under no obligation to write about it.
A shiny new cellphone!
I've had Shine for about 2 months now, so I've had a good chance to play with it and see how it performs.
Shine has a glossy, shiny surface. Its sleek-and-sexy appearance makes it gorgeous. The phone looks and feels expensive and was the envy among those I show it off to. Actually they play with it more than I do. :(
The phone has a polished-metal body. It's a slider phone and has a reflective front screen that transforms into a mirror when the 2.2-inch LCD is idle. Quite handy for a busy lady because that means I don't have to look for a restroom to spruce up before the next date meeting. Not to mention it's quite a handy tool, blinding annoying friends by angling the phone at the sun. haha....
The shiny surface quickly becomes grimy with fingerprints and make-up. And I have to constantly wipe it.
I love things that glisten and gleam. :)
that IS indeed shiny! much more blingbling than my Nokia 6230i, which is boring black overall. even the silver keypad isn't as blingbling as your LG. Looking Good!
ReplyDeleteVery bling bling eh?
ReplyDeleteNo new handphones for me this summer, not until the iPhone gets released in Europe at the end of the year at least!
May,
ReplyDeleteYes, blinding! haha....
It's on loan for 3 months. Have to return it soon. :(
lb,
ReplyDeleteHey, so many people waiting for the iPhone! Hope they give me one to try. :)
On the contrary, I don't like shiny things in general. I like wood more than metal. Maybe that is why my love for the double bass. :P
ReplyDeleteNice phone, I like mine to be black though, black is still shiny though and I know what you mean about having to clean them all the time.
ReplyDeleteoceanskies,
ReplyDeleteWood has a different 味道 mah! More earthy, natural, warm....
I like cold, hard metal. The sound of cling clangs that send your hair to raise on ends. hahaha....
That's a shiny mobile phone. My is aging well. :)
ReplyDeleteletha,
ReplyDeleteI like black colour too. Dirt doesn't show on it. Yes, black can be shiny too. :)
ipanema,
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't forgotten my old phone. hehe... will be switching back after returning the LG Shine.
Will be missing Shine though. ish....

Fuiyoh. At least you have something to play with for 3 months. ^-^
ReplyDeleteECL got a HP to try out lerrr.. if you give them a good review maybe they'll let you keep it? :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's the down side of making surfaces that are shiny. But still this makes a very sleek fashion handphone.
ReplyDeleteshilpa,
ReplyDeleteIt's common with gals, right? To constantly look at ourselves in every reflective surfaces. lol....
Maybe for me, the vainpot. :)
wei day-dreamer,
ReplyDeleteStill in Ipoh? Sure hope to see you the next time I'm in KL. :)
moby,
ReplyDeleteWhy are your fingers often greasy n grimy? You're not a car mechanic.
Oh..... frequent snacking erh. hehehe....

Bernard,
ReplyDeleteI hope they will let me keep it if I write a good review. I was hoping to bring it to China to try it. And to show it off to my Chinese associates. :)
Hi lancerlord,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Nice to see you here, again. :)
It's really attractive and attention grabbing - to those whom I meet. And it's really hard trying to keep it clean and gleaming. :)
That is one good looking phone!
ReplyDeleteHi meeyauw!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, quite a good-looking phone huh. :)
that's one sharp (and shiny of course!) cell phone!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit, too!
ECL, make sure you take tons of photo of Chinese ... (sensored) ... with your Shine handphone
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting.
Shiny and good-lokking, ain't it? :)
yenjai,
ReplyDeleteI have taken some photos with it too. :) But cannot upload, not for public viewing. hahaha.... I must remember to delete them when I return the phone back to LG. :D
Looks like a fun sassy little phone! Great choice for The Hunt. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeletehello pastormac's ann,
ReplyDeleteThanks. :)
How funny, I just blogged about cell phones, I gave mine up back in 1999 but last week for Father's Day my two sons in law gave me a new one and bouched to pay the monthy bill, I think they want me to have a cell phone so they can find me easier when the need to borrow money, that's my theory.
ReplyDeletehahaha Jose,
ReplyDeleteThat's a funny theory you have. Do they borrow money from you often? ahem... can I have your cellphone number. hehehe.....
Nice shiny phone! But I don't like the thought of fingerprints and makeup transferring over to the surface when I use it.
ReplyDeleterinnah,
ReplyDeleteYes, it's really unsightly. So paiseh when people want to take a look at your phone or borrow it.
:(
