Teochew Kailan Cai Poh Fried Kway Teow 潮州芥兰菜脯炒粿条

I bought a packet of delicious preserved radish from Bangkok on a recent trip. I used it to fry the flat rice noodles this morning and my family like the taste.

Another Teochew dish for breakfast, I choose to cook this simple dish because it is a vegetarian dish. After our breakfast we are going to offer prayers to our late in-laws.

The following day is Qing Ming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day in English, a traditional Chinese festival for the remembrance of ancestors. Our
relatives on island Hainan are having a grand worship ceremony for our ancestors, but we are not able to attend on the actual day.

潮州芥兰菜脯炒粿条, 配料只用芥兰和菜脯粒,称为“炒斋粿”, 味道咸香,别有风味。


周一是清明节, 在这华人的重要节日, 我们在海南岛的亲属将有一个隆重的祭祖和扫墓仪式。 可惜我们没假期, 没法去参加。
