Home Cooked Teochew Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle 自制潮州香菇肉脞面

Teochew BCM


On the 2nd day of my 30 Day Breakfast Challenge, I cooked Teochew Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle which is a common dish in my Teochew family. It was a Saturday and my young nephews were visiting.

I shopped for the ingredients a day earlier so I braised the mushrooms and make the pork lard first.

I woke up early on Saturday morning to boil the chicken and pork bone stock, then prepared the garnishes. I did not buy pork liver because the boys dislike it :)

When the boys woke up, I cooked the noodles. I bought flat noodles (mee pok) because the guys like it.

Cooking the flat noodles .... the boys wanted to try their hand cooking  their own noodles, so I let them do it.

Teochew BCM dry

Dry version of the mushroom minced meat noodles. The boys preferred this to the soupy one. Yummy noodles without MSG (Monosodium glutamate).

今早煮的潮式香菇肉脞面。家里男生都比较喜欢干捞面薄, 而且不要猪肝。

  2. I love mushroom. One of my friend saw some dandelions in her yard. Which around here means morals soon.
