Alpaca View Farm & Cuisine - Photohunt

d7

PhotoHunt theme : Deluxe/Animals

During my last trip to Bangkok, my Thai friends brought me to an animal farm for dinner. Upon arriving at the farm, I was pleasantly surprised to see several alpacas.

Alpacas are domestically bred for fibre which is is naturally anti-allergenic. The alpaca wool is made into deluxe duvets.

Other than the alpacas, we were delighted to find other animals such as goats, piglets, ponies and cute bunnies!

There were many families with young children and elderly parents. While the adults dined, the kids fed the animals. They love this place! :)

Food was palatable. I would have enjoyed my meal in this farm like atmosphere if I didn't have to sit in the heat and get bitten by mosquitoes. :D

    1. I wasn't aware of this place until my Thai friends brought me. The mosquitoes were really irritating, I kept moving my arms and shaking my legs to keep them away. So unladylike, haha.....

  8. I had an alpaca wool sweater that I loved very much years ago. It was a sad day when it finally got too holey for me to wear...

A thought: isn't Bangkok's climate too hot for alpacas? :O

    1. You can still wear an alpaca sweater in HK but not in Singapore. Yes, it was quite warm in Bangkok and seeing the thick wool on the alpacas, I feel sorry for them.

  9. I had to laugh about "brought me to an animal farm for dinner". I thought you had to choose an animal had it slaughtered and then eat it !
Fortunately that was not the case ! We have Alpaca farms here too since a few years. They are so cute !

  11. Hi ECL, what a great place to visit and those little piglets are just too cute. I bet the kids (and adults) have a lot of fun interacting with these animals. I bought an apalca scarf and it is so soft. In Peru the apalcas are protected by the government because of the value to their wool. I'm glad they are protected.

    Have a great weekend.
