PhotoHunt theme : Deluxe/Animals
During my last trip to Bangkok, my Thai friends brought me to an animal farm for dinner. Upon arriving at the farm, I was pleasantly surprised to see several alpacas.
Alpacas are domestically bred for fibre which is is naturally anti-allergenic. The alpaca wool is made into deluxe duvets.

Other than the alpacas, we were delighted to find other animals such as goats, piglets, ponies and cute bunnies!
There were many families with young children and elderly parents. While the adults dined, the kids fed the animals. They love this place! :)
Food was palatable. I would have enjoyed my meal in this farm like atmosphere if I didn't have to sit in the heat and get bitten by mosquitoes. :D

Deleteoh, didn't know there's such a place in Bangkok!! it looks interesting enough and doesn't seem to be a place in tropical countries.. anyway, like you said, i may only go there if I didn't have to sit in the heat and get bitten by mosquitoes, haha!! :D
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware of this place until my Thai friends brought me. The mosquitoes were really irritating, I kept moving my arms and shaking my legs to keep them away. So unladylike, haha.....
DeleteNever seen alpacas before! would love to visit this place, thanks for sharing :D
ReplyDeleteGo visit these cuties. :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful fun place! The alpacas are adorable! I want one :)
ReplyDeleteMy photo hunt entry for this week

I have not tried a alpaca sweater, probably no chance to wear one as it is too hot in Singapore. haha....
Deleteoh that's fun place to visit. i haven't been to an animal farm.
ReplyDeletefrankly my dear
Yes, it is exciting to see those cute animals and be able to feed some of them.
DeleteAll good shots but my favorites are the alpacas.
ReplyDeleteThey are my favourite too. :)
DeleteI had an alpaca wool sweater that I loved very much years ago. It was a sad day when it finally got too holey for me to wear...
ReplyDeleteA thought: isn't Bangkok's climate too hot for alpacas? :O
You can still wear an alpaca sweater in HK but not in Singapore. Yes, it was quite warm in Bangkok and seeing the thick wool on the alpacas, I feel sorry for them.
DeleteI had to laugh about "brought me to an animal farm for dinner". I thought you had to choose an animal had it slaughtered and then eat it !
ReplyDeleteFortunately that was not the case ! We have Alpaca farms here too since a few years. They are so cute !
Those deluxe duvets sound wonderful! Great idea for this week's theme.
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend.
Hi ECL, what a great place to visit and those little piglets are just too cute. I bet the kids (and adults) have a lot of fun interacting with these animals. I bought an apalca scarf and it is so soft. In Peru the apalcas are protected by the government because of the value to their wool. I'm glad they are protected.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
I don't what it is but baby pig is cute.
ReplyDeleteThere is an angora farm North of me who spin there own yarn...I just purchase mine.
Got my photo up and coffee is on
What a fun place. My children also love this place and to feed the animals.
ReplyDeleteI have knitted with alpaca wool and love the organic softness of it... deluxe indeed!
ReplyDeleteHappy St Paddy's day ~ I am sure you are just as Irish as I am on the day.
I bet the kids loved the farm. Sorry about the mosquitos.
