PhotoHunt theme : Something green/ Wind

Amusing gift from a friend on my 23rd Wedding Anniversary. I put this little guy on fire during dinner on the breezy balcony. LOL

Taiwan Jujube

I served a Thai feast to my guests with a variety of fruits imported from different countries. Besides snake skin fruits, mangoes, pomelo and guavas from Thailand, we had Taiwan jujube, New Zealand Kiwiberry, Korean Persimmon and Vietnam Dragon fruit.

Taiwan Jujube, a popular fruit that is eaten fresh while still green, is exclusively grown in winter. It tastes like apples, crunchy, juicy and sweet.

New Zealand Kiwi Berry

Love these tiny NZ Kiwiberries, they are juicy, tasty and sweet. Like grapes, they are easier to eat and full of vitamins and antioxidants like the usual Kiwi fruits.

Glad that these fruits are available in our NTUC supermarkets.

  6. I like Fruit. I bought a few Mango in the store today. I believe they were about sixty five cent a piece.
I have to admit "snake skin fruit" sort of gives me the willies. I've been with the same partner for over 25 years.

    Coffee is on.

    1. I love mangoes. They cost more here in Singapore because they are imported.

Once you peel off the skin of the snake skin fruits, the flesh is crunchy and appetising. :)

    1. These fresh ones are XL-sized, they are crunchy, juicy and sweet. They are new in Singapore, I like the taste.

I used the dried jujubes in herbal soups.
