Waiting in Singapore Changi Airport - PH

PhotoHunt theme : Waiting

Passengers flying out from Singapore Changi Airport or perhaps waiting for a connecting flight will never feel bored in the world's most awarded airport ...... more than 340 awards under her belt. :) There is a wide range of facilities and services to keep passengers occupied.

Along the waiting areas in front of the gates where you board your planes, there are free foot massage machines for your tired feet.

If you just want a good rest, head to the Rest Areas where specially designed leather snooze chairs are available for the tired travelers. :P

Catch a movie at the Movie Theatres in Terminals 2 and 3 where screenings are available 24 hours daily, free of charge.

Surf at the free Internet Centres located in all terminals, the docking stations and free wireless LAN allow passengers to plug in their own Laptop for surfing.

Running low on battery? No worries, you can charge your mobile phone battery at one of the many free charging-stations.

My son loves the Entertainment Deck in Terminal 2 where free games, LAN Areas, music and console are available.

You might want to consider shopping ..... there are lots of interesting stores. :D

For those who prefer nature and want to experience Singapore's unpolluted air, visit the open-air rooftop Sunflower and Cactus Gardens. There are 6 gardens to choose from, my favourite is the world’s first Butterfly Garden in an airport. :)

  1. I agree with you right there, Changi Airport is indeed a relaxing place to stop-over! I never had that experience with other airports where I usually fumble for things to do to pass away time. Thanks for sharing, more power to you.

  2. Haven't been in (transit at) Singapore airport for a long while -- but definitely remember it positively. Have you been to its science centre yet? Even as an adult, I loved it. :)

  4. Changi Airport reminds me of the time we nearly missed our connecting time back to KL from Osaka because Raimie were having so much fun at the indoor playground. We had to run, accompanied by a JAL staff to the boarding gate and the plane departed when we were barely made our way to our seats.

Changi Airport is sure a place one can lose track of time! LOL

  5. Well...I believe a lot of our lives are wasted because we waited unnecessarily. :p Then again...it is the whole waiting part that makes what we wait more worthwhile.

  8. Geez ! that's a paradise ! when I think of our Brussels' airport which has already improved. When you had a flight at 5 am all Restaurants, bars and shops were closed !! you couldn't even get a coffee ! Now at least you can buy a coffee, but the shops .... they open at 7 am I think.
