Skinny women in
skinny jeans are some kind of people many of us love to hate. No matter how much they eat, they never seem to get fat. While the rest of us obsess over every tiny bit of food passing through our lips,
sigh....... we’ll put on the kilos if we let our guard down for just one moment.
I couldn't believe it when a student showed me the
skinny houses she discovered in Amsterdam.
Amsterdam is known for it’s tightly-packed and skinny structures. These houses located along a canal, are about a metre wide each. They expand as they recede from the street. I wonder how it feels to live in such skinny space.
Oh, I just learnt from her too that a coffee prepared with skimmed milk is described as
skinny. hehe.....
*blush*

Those houses are certainly skinny. People must need to be very skinny to live in them, LOL. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy Skinny pics are up at Siani's Pot-Pourri.
As always a good take on the theme. I never would have thought of skinny houses. I've never been to Amsterdam but I can imagine the skinny houses would be interesting. Hope you have a pleasant weekend.
ReplyDeleteI saw your question on my blog about how tall I am. It's funny because I converted it to cm since I know most people use the metric system and I went, wow, I am tall in cm. So, I'm 175.3 cm but I'm only 5 ft 9 inches in the other system which doesn't sound so tall, ha.
ReplyDeleteAwesome skinnies, I love skinny lattes... so yummy!!
ReplyDeleteThe Rocky Mountain Retreat

Skinny houses of Amsterdam! I once went to a movie in Amsterdam and it was such a narrow place, no wider than my living room. It was an English movie with Dutch subtitles and the Dutch talked all the way through because they could read the subtitles and we couldn't hear the dialogue!
ReplyDeleteI love those jeans
ReplyDeletei don't like tight spaces so i guess i can't survive on those apartments. ;)
ReplyDeletenice picks for this week's theme. ;)

ReplyDeleteCan't imagine how to live in a meter wide house.
ReplyDeleteconsider ourselves blessed as we can sleep on the queen or king sized bed ;)
ReplyDeleteThe houses in Amsterdam. The front door's small but what about the back. Hmm.. if Asian country has that kind of house, I think they're gonna knock down the next door neighbor's house.
ReplyDeleteI could eat like a horse until my 50th birthday and remained slim, now I have to pay attention, lol !
ReplyDeleteYou should see the "skinniest" house in Amsterdam on my Travel Blog, I go there quite often because my son lives there. The houses are not skinny besides this one. It is large like one window.
BTW I take the Cyber Cruise today to the Ice Sculpture Exposition in Brugge, so if you have time, have a look.
Skinny women in skinny jeans are some kind of people many of us love to hate.Oh, yes!!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
When I was teenager I was skinny one and now I gain weight but let me tell you I seen people who are a lot heavier then I and I'm not trying to use that as an excuses.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment, eastcoast! I'm sure you are skinny too! Not a insult - I love skinny!
ReplyDeleteI really admire the Holland people, they are expert in finding solutions to problems, they had a way of solving problems, efficiency in building nice houses along the river and romantica!
ReplyDeleteOh I couldn't imagine living in a skinny house like that!! How on earth would I rearrange my furniture every few months?? ha ha Great photos. Come peek at mine.
ReplyDeleteI personally prefer the not too skiny type. I mean, take a look at all the paintings, most of the girls are not that skinny. What happens to modern day fashion. I think girls in long dress are nice. Skinny ones don't really look that good with that.
ReplyDeleteTalking about skinny buidlings, there are plenty in HK due to space constraint :)
i always envy those whom can eat a lot and won't put on a pound, me is those whom will put on pounds when eat too much thus had to watch my diet, had been watching for the past few weeks and it yields effects.. Yeah, edure!!
ReplyDeletewow, skinny indeed! :) the only thing i remembered abt amsterdam were those tall windows with girls in all sorts of shapres n sized eyeing me in a very gatai way...scary!!! n also the canabis lolly i bought n ate, after that scared pulak, coz scared kena caught at the airport!! lol but actually nothing la. it was candy mar...

ReplyDeleteSkinny jeans - how I wish I could still wear them!
ReplyDeleteSara from farmingfriends
I never thought I'd wear a pair of skinny jeans because it makes me look short and fat, but since all the other "less skinny" girls are also wearing it... oh heck, pakai saja lah!
ReplyDeleteI bet you'd look hawt in those skinny jeans!
