Crispy Fried Wantons 酥炸云吞
Delicious, easy-to-make crispy wantons - great appetizer for a party or snacks for the kids. My son could polish off 20 at one sitting as he watches his favourite Korean TV drama. LOL
I usually make about 100 pieces and store the excess in the freezer for emergency use..... but the wantons would vanish within a week. When my nephews and niece come over, they would ask for these crispy snacks.
The ingredients for the filling is similar as my Homemade Chinese Dumplings. To save time, I buy ready-made wanton skins from a supermarket.
Ingredients for Meat Filling (for 2 - 3 people) :
500g minced meat
100g spring onion (chopped) - optional
20g ginger (minced) - optional
4 cloves garlic (minced) - optional
6 water chestnuts (chopped) - optional
Seasonings (according to one's taste) :
chicken stock granules - optional
1. In a bowl, mix the minced meat, prawns, soy sauce, cooking wine, sesame oil and white pepper together.
2. Wrapping the wantons : place a piece of the wanton wrapper on your palm and add 1 tablespoon of the filling in the middle of the wrapper. Seal the wantons by pleating the skin together.
3. Heat up some oil and deep-fry. Don't let the oil get too hot, as the wanton wrappers burn easily.
4. Drain the crispy fried wantons of excess oil and serve.

我儿子从小就爱❤ 吃脆脆的炸云吞，他喜欢那个咔咔咋咋声。长大了, 他爱❤ 边看韩剧边吃炸云吞, 一转眼就能可吃掉20个!
炸云吞主要材料是猪肉和虾肉。剁碎的馅料由云吞皮包裹着，放入热油内炸至金黄香脆。我一次做100多个, 多余的冰冻起来, 想吃就炸来吃。家里老的少的都爱这个可口的小点心。
