Happy Mid Autumn Festival!
中秋节快乐!
Together with a few friends who love photography, we visited the Mid Autumn Festival@Gardens by the Bay on Sunday night.
在滨海湾花园举办的滨海花月庆中秋2014, 灯笼好漂亮!
The garden was packed with visitors. We jostled with the crowds to take beautiful shots of the spectacular lantern displays.
There were lanterns featuring international icons and cultural landmarks of global cities in seven countries.
Majestic water lantern displays feature Chinese themes such as the Ancient Chinese Palace, The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea and the Treasure Voyages of Cheng Ho.
The thematic lantern set pieces such as Racial Harmony in Singapore, SEA Games 2015, 12 Chinese Zodiacs and Birds of Paradise were beautifully crafted.
Tired after 100 minutes of photo taking, we sat down to enjoy the performances by artistes from Guangdong Arts Troupe at Supertree Grove.
There are an assortment of cuisines from China, Taiwan and Singapore at the Asian Food Street at Palm Court near the Planet Baby sculpture. We tried the smelly toufu which tasted awful.
We didn't manage to finish shooting all the lanterns. We might have to go back for more shoots. :)
