Selfie in Different Rooms - PhotoHunt

selfie : in a treatment room

I visited a Chinese physician for a consultation about my swollen legs. He prescribed some Chinese herbs and sent me to an acupuncturist who poked so many needles into both my legs. Ouch.

This is the store room of a high end beauty salon. What was I doing in there?

At one of their road shows, I paid a nominal fee for a promotional voucher to try out one slimming session.

It took me almost a year to redeem my slimming session because there was always no available slots. Finally on my "lucky" day that I got to use my voucher, I was appalled to learn about the hidden costs for various "better quality slimming products". -_-

I rejected all their "special offers" and insisted on the "basic session" I paid for. At the end of the slimming session, I was brought to this store room to be wrapped up like a mummy with cellophane paper.

A slimming package of 10 sessions at this beauty salon costs thousands of dollars. I don't want to spend good money and be treated like dirt. ish.

  5. I believe in acupuncture ! It's just great it helps a lot and is far better then all this chemical medication. The beauty salon room looks really very cozy and elegant ! Could use my storage room to become a beauty with all the brooms and vacuum cleaner around, lol ! Crazy !

    1. Acupuncture helps, I have to go twice a week. I also have to drink a herbal concoction.

I bet your storage room is bigger than the one shown above.

    1. Poor blood circulation, swelling has gone down a lot after the acupuncture sessions.

No more beauty treatment, waste of money.

  7. Hi ECL, oh no. I'm sorry for your swollen leg. I have never had acupuncture before, but I have a former co-worker who found the treatment helpful (lower back issues). I hope you're legs are better.

    Have a great weekend.

  11. We have an acupuncturist here in our community. Never been to one. I would guess it would come out of your own pocket for treatment.

Never been to high end beauty saloon. One friend did and only she kept saying..."Can't believe what they charge...$200"

    Coffee is on

  12. Oh gosh! don't talk to me about getting old ;)) ... I am probably old enough to be your grandmother. At least your mother for sure. My husband has problems with swollen ankles. For no reaso they can find.

Yes I think many spa beauty treatments are good mostly for separating the gullible and insecure from their money. Definitely the same in this country.
