PhotoHunt theme : Special Decorations/ Mellow

Arriving in Singapore Changi Airport, my Canadian friend and his family who are spending their year end vacations in Singapore were awed by the spectacular displays of massive topiaries featuring iconic landmarks from across the world.

St Basil's Cathedral

The festive decorations were put up in mid-November. I took some photos of them when I was flying to Bangkok a fortnight ago and had forgotten to post them in my blog. :P

They are so captivating that many visitors queued to have their photos taken.

The SpongeBob decorations draw lots of children. :)

magenta-flesh dragonfruit - a taste of the exotic

More surprises! I brought some magenta-fleshed dragonfruits to my friends in their hotel. These scarlet pink ones taste pretty mellow,  they are sweeter than their white-fleshed counterparts.

We also bought them a sumptuous dinner of chilli crabs and local cuisines at a seaside restaurant. :)

  7. Have to say that I'd not immediately associate the Trojan horse with Turkey -- though it's true that Troy is in modern day Turkey. Rather, I'd go more for the Hagia Sophia as Turkey's major landmark!

  8. sort of reminds me of walk though parade..Instead of people saying one spot and watching the parade go by..the people walks though the parade floats and things.
