PhotoHunt theme : Your book(books)/ Rousing
Motivational speaker Nick Vujicic visited Singapore in early September. He walked in to rousing standing ovations from packed crowds at all his speaking venues. Tickets to his events were sold out.
He was invited to the Istana to meet our President Tony Tan. He had a unique experience swimming with sharks at Sentosa's Marine Life Park.
An excellent speaker, he inspired many Singaporeans with his outlook on life despite having no limbs.
God bless Nick Vujicic...... a truly inspiring guy.
I have finished reading Nick Vujicic's books. The books I am reading these days are children's story books. Every Saturday I would bring my young nephews to the library to borrow books.
We were lucky to board a mobile library one weekend. The boys were thrilled that they were able to borrow books in a bus although it was quite cramped and crowded. :)
Never attended a motivational talk before :x
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of motivational talks every month, some talks are not cheap. Nick is one extremely inspiring guy who touches my heart and soul.
DeleteI saw a documentary on Nick Vujicic instead. He was very motivating.
ReplyDeleteHe is. I cried reading his book.
DeleteGreat tie in for both themes ECL. I just love that mobile library so cute!! Happy weekend, and happy reading :)
ReplyDeletemy rousing with books Photo Hunt blog entry for this week
The young boys love the mobile library too. We don't get to see it often.
DeleteHe swam with sharks in Sentosa? Oh my...
ReplyDeleteBTW, you might like to look out for a Japanese film called "Nobody's Perfect" and feel roused and inspired by it...

Yes, Nick swam with sharks but in an enclosed glass structure. Thanks for the link, I will watch it.
Deletedid you get tp meet him?
ReplyDeleteThe event here in KL was sold out pretty quickly.
Didn't get a chance to get up close to him. Tickets for his event was sold out fast in Singapore too. :)
DeleteOne amazing guy.
Cool Takes!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the themes.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice, I think, that a motivational speaker gets such a draw. I haven't heard of him but I'll have to heck out his books.
ReplyDeleteSadly, in retirement, downsizing, and living part of each year in India, I had to get rid of hundreds of book - plus nearly 500 cooksbooks. I only saved my very favorites.
What an inspirational person!
ReplyDeleteHave a rousing weekend~
He is one awesome role model of life..
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, Friend!
ReplyDeleteAloha
Hi ECL, wonderful photos and take on the two themes. Nick sounds like a very positive individual. Your photos of him swimming with the sharks is amazing. I also love the mobile library. What a fun treat for your nephews.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
