Dragon Playground @Toa Payoh Lorong 6 - PhotoHunt
PhotoHunt theme : Something outdoors/ Silly
After visiting a cousin in Toa Payoh, we decided to look for the Dragon Playground in Lorong 6. It is one of the oldest outdoor playground in Singapore.
My husband and I have fond memories of our childhood days playing at these playgrounds when we were in primary schools.
We spent an afternoon having fun at this playground, reliving happy memories by doing what my son called "silly stuff". LOL
We chatted with a young couple who had brought their young children to play on the slide and sand box. The young man lived in one of the flats for 6 years before his family moved to Sengkang.
The blocks of flats surrounding this iconic playground in Toa Payoh are now empty. They will be demolished later this year. It was reported that the authorities are studying the viability of preserving the playground. That would be nice. :)

Deletei do feel silly when i play in the kids playground. but that image on the slide is very nice.
ReplyDeleteWe were having fun with the two young children while their parents watched. The lonely dragon needs to hear laughter of children.
DeleteThat looks like a fun playground.
ReplyDeleteIt is for the children. We couldn't resist joining in the fun :)
DeleteFun times!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!!
DeleteThough it's been a number of years, I loved my three visits to Singapore. I didn't make it to this playground but I feasted several times at those wonderful hawker's centers!!!
ReplyDeleteMy “something outdoors post” is of three West Coast, USA, cities.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your visits to Singapore.
DeleteHope you will come back for more feasts at our hawker centres :)
Love how small playgrounds appear as adults compared to what they seemed to be like as kids - great shots for this week's theme.
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a fantastic weekend!
DeleteI'm glad you were able to go back and enjoy your silly days! I'm sure the kids were shaking their heads ... that's our job as parents (to embarass them on occasion!)
ReplyDeleteHappy Silly Saturday ~
haha.... the kids nowadays do not know how fun the outdoors is. They are more interested in their smart phones and gadgets.
