Found all around Gardens By The Bay in Singapore are these unique trees. Standing up to 16 storeys in height, they are an attraction in this gardens. There are 12 at the Supertree Grove, while the remaining 6 are placed in clusters of threes at the Golden and Silver Gardens.
OCBC Skyway
As the sun set, we took a stroll along the OCBC Skyway (ticket : S$5 adult, S$3 kid), a 128-metre long walkway that connects the two 25-metre Supertrees at the Supertree Grove. Please avoid if you are scared of heights.
Some playful visitors started jumping and stomping on the skyway and it swayed, not too violently though. It is still quite steady.

As we walked along the skyway, we took pictures of the different views of the Gardens and our beautiful city. We were captivated by the stunning panoramic views of the Gardens as well as the surrounding Marina Bay area.

For visitors, you might want to visit the cooled conservatories in the afternoon and stayed until the evening to take a stroll on the OCBC Skyway. Watch the beautiful sunset and when night falls, the gardens and Supertrees are lighted up. Lots of photo opportunities.
There are restaurants and cafes in the gardens should you need refreshments and take short rests in between your walk.

Singapore never ceases to amaze me with the new things which seem to sprout up everywhere. I've visited Singapore from Malaysia quite regularly in the last 5 years or so, and every time there seems to be something new. It's just fantastic! Have to come back for another visit soon :)
ReplyDeleteNice stumbling upon your blog today!
Duncan In Kuantan
Hi Duncan,
DeleteSingapore is constantly on fast forward. A young, bold and dynamic nation, Singapore shines with a "can-do" energy.
The opening of new tourist attractions such as Marine Life Park, River Safari and the National Art Gallery in the forecast period should draw large crowds as emerging Asian markets boost tourism in Singapore.
I myself am amazed at the constant changes. There is no lack of entertainment and activities in Singapore as tourism continues to develop and grow.
Please come back to visit.
those Supertree looks so beautifully lit up at night. i'd love to visit this place when I visit Singapore again.
ReplyDeleteYou will fall in love with this place. There are many beautiful spots to take lovely pictures.
DeleteI wanna visit this place!! Is it worth paying the ticket to visit the conservatories?
ReplyDeleteThe outdoor garden is free. I personally find it worth the entrance fee to the conservatories. The experience is incredible.
DeleteYou might want to look out for promotion deals from your city to save some money.
The cost of constructing this garden is S$1 billion. It is going to take us a long time to recoup the cost. :P
Nice pics here dear! Singapore does have a lot to offer, must visit again soon! :)
