Application for Employment - PH

PhotoHunt theme : Humour/Reflect

My facebook friends have been sharing this letter these couple of days. We couldn't help having a good laugh over it.

The application letter says :

"I refer to the recent death of your Technical Manager at your company and hereby apply for the replacement of the deceased Manager.

Each time I apply for a job, I get a reply that there's no vacancy but in this case I have caught you red-handed and you have no excuse because I even attended the funeral to be sure that he was truly dead and buried before applying.

Attached to my letter is a copy of my CV and his death certificate."

Attending a word processing course

Since completing my ICDL (International Computer Driving Lesson) Certification Programme sponsored by South-east CDC and WDA, my career consultant has been keeping in touch and I am scheduled to attend a resume-writing class.

I feel that it's important to take the time to learn how to write a resume that reflects my desire for a job and explains to the employers about my future aspirations and my career goals.

Wish me success in my job search!

  3. This reminds me of a story about former American President Lincoln.

A ranking man in the post office, who was a personal friend of Lincoln's, died. A job applicant immediately asked the president if he could "take his place?”

“Well,” replied Lincoln. “It’s all right with me if it’s all right with the undertaker.”
