From 16 August to 25 September 2011, visitors to Singapore can see the World’s Largest Macaron Race Car on display at the lobby of Royal Plaza on Scotts.
It took the hotel's Executive Chef Abraham Tan, a team of five chefs and two engineering technicians more than two months to construct this spectacular life-sized replica of a racing car which is 4.4 metres long, 1.9 metres wide and 1.3 metres tall.
600 egg whites, four litres of water and 12.5 kilograms of ground almond and icing sugar were used to make a total of 10,461 macarons to construct this car.
Isn't it cool to drive this beauty through the streets!?
If it is participating in the night race, the macarons will probably fly off in all directions. The spectators will be screaming, "It's raining macarons!" haha.....

ReplyDeleteFEELING RED
I am feeling red today—
Better that than blue, they say.
Red is such a cheery shade,
Sweetest color ever made,
Brightens everything you do—
Better red, they say, than blue!

However. I don't like them, they are too sweet for me.
Amazing!
ReplyDeleteBut I keep on thinking such a waste of macaroons. I should be eating those! LOL
