50Plus Expo 2010 - RT/WW

A senior playing dress-up and having her photo taken

50plus Expo 2010 is the largest consumer event specifically targeted at Baby Boomers and senior citizens in Singapore. Spread over 2 days, seniors got to enjoy the best of health, recreational, travel and learning along with exciting workshops, live demos and celebrity performances at this one-stop lifestyle fair.

one-stop lifestyle fair at 50Plus Expo 2010

I saw and tried new and interesting products, enjoyed special deals and promotions and found out more about courses at this exhibition.

Participants learning how to plant orchids

Participants learnt how to plant orchids, herbs and fruits at workshops conducted by instructors from the National Parks Board (NParks) and walked away with a pot of orchids after the event.

There were cooking demonstrations and the recipes were given out to participants.

free health screenings

Visitors queued for free health screenings and got sound advice on how to live a healthy lifestyle from friendly consultants.

Many seniors had fun playing dress-up with costumes that represent the four seasons of the world and received one complimentary photograph.

Besides good discounts offered by the exhibitors, visitors received lots of free samples and goodies. Many left the fair with bags filled with souvenirs. :)

  5. Thanks for this post. I have been encouraging my parents to visit this exhibition, and even bought them close enough to Suntec City by accompanying them to visit the Circle Line open house. They still need some time to be opened to attend the exhibition. Well, I will have other chance to encourage them to find ways to live well. Wish me luck.

Oh ya, the self-defence group that I am learning self-defence from also participated in the event.
