Am I too old to belly dance? - WW

Am I too old to belly dance?

Belly dancing is an ancient art form thousands of years old, great exercise for women of all ages! It’s not only fun, I think it makes women feel sensual and feminine. I love the costume and accessories!

Seniors benefit from such regular, low-impact, aerobic exercise which keeps their cardiovascular system healthy and helps ward off osteoporosis.

The movements are slow and gentle. The perfect exercise for seniors and a unique form of dance that doesn’t require a partner. :)

Even the guys want to try it out!

Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

I think I would be 22. :D

  1. With age comes experience and wisdom, but the hours, days and weeks whiz by so fast!

  2. I'm 30 (31 in less than a month lol) and I still think of myself as a very mature 11 year old!

And age isn't what you are, age is just something other people use to define you!

  15. Sukhmandir Kaur,
At this stage of my life, I find Time passing too fast.

  16. Mummy,
11 years old would be a little too young to be falling in love .... and if you were a student in Singapore, school would be too stressful! :P

Seventeen!? Muda lah! Tapi manis yah.

Why not 18? Under 18 still got restrictions you know? Above 21, you're free from parental control. lol....

I cannot belly dance now lah only, need to be on crutches even if I want to stand up. *bang head*

  21. Hi Lui,
I tried learning ballroom dancing through watching DVD but it wasn't easy.

I prefer learning in a classroom with other women. It is more fun. :)

  23. Anna,
Seems to me ladies prefer to remain as 17, 18 years old. :)

Many of my girlfriends are bitten by the Belly dancing bug too.

Of course one also needs to know her own limits and not get hurt doing something inappropriate.

Dancing with the scarf just make the dancer look so sensual! Probably makes the guy come charging like a bull! Olé! haha....

  37. Age is just a number. So you can do anything as long as you r capable of doing. I am drawn to belly dancing before too. Try it on CD but its more fun with group exercise.

  38. Cats live in a different kind of time-line than all of you two-legged ladies. If I didn't know how old I was I would say that I was about one year old; recently just a kitten, but now old enough to be considered grown. I live with my real cat-mamma though -- this is unusual, as most kittens get reparated from their mothers -- and she still thinks of me as a kitten, grooms me, etc.
Belly-dancing?? I think you should go for it. I don't belly-dance per se, but I do roll around on the floor and try to wrap myself in a scatter-rug. Is that a sort of belly-dancing for cats??
