Am I too old to belly dance?
Belly dancing is an ancient art form thousands of years old, great exercise for women of all ages! It’s not only fun, I think it makes women feel sensual and feminine. I love the costume and accessories!
Seniors benefit from such regular, low-impact, aerobic exercise which keeps their cardiovascular system healthy and helps ward off osteoporosis.
The movements are slow and gentle. The perfect exercise for seniors and a unique form of dance that doesn’t require a partner. :)
Even the guys want to try it out!
Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
I think I would be 22. :D

With age comes experience and wisdom, but the hours, days and weeks whiz by so fast!
ReplyDeleteI'm 30 (31 in less than a month lol) and I still think of myself as a very mature 11 year old!
ReplyDeleteAnd age isn't what you are, age is just something other people use to define you!
I think no one is too old. I wanted to try it too and even bought a DVD but I haven't put it into use until now, haha.
ReplyDeleteSweet 17 I shall forever be and u 22 hahaha!

Hmm, I think if you wanna belly dance then go for it.. I'm in my 30's and just recently I've tried out a belly dancing workout on DVD. Lol! Definitely worked out my belly and I had lots of fun..
ReplyDeleteAs for how old would I be if I didn't know my age? 18 haha..
They said nobody is too old for everything. About your last question, I think I would be 19. :)
ReplyDeleteHow old would I be if I didn't know how old I was? Oh, about 17 or 18, I think.
ReplyDeleteBelly dancing? Yes, why not?!!
Best wishes,
Anna
I like to belly dance for exercise. We have a TV program that helps us learn then we dance. Great for the hour glass figure.
ReplyDeleteMy WW link for You
One is never too old. I agree with you that it is a question of mind over matter.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone is really too old to belly dance. I think it keeps you younger. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
I have seen a lot of Belly dancers in Egypt, Morocco and Turkey. A lot of restaurants or hotels have a show of Belly dancers. I like it very much. The exercise with the scarfs look as if they were waiting for a bull ! Olé !
ReplyDeleteSukhmandir Kaur,
ReplyDeleteAt this stage of my life, I find Time passing too fast.
When I was in my teens, I couldn't wait to grow older. Why was I so silly!? boohoo.....
Mummy,
ReplyDelete11 years old would be a little too young to be falling in love .... and if you were a student in Singapore, school would be too stressful! :P
age is just a state of mind. well, i hv tried belly dance once but i couldn't shake well..haha..
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteLearn belly dancing through DVD!?
It's much more fun learning in a class with lots of giggling women. :D
Mariuca,
ReplyDeleteSeventeen!? Muda lah! Tapi manis yah.
Why not 18? Under 18 still got restrictions you know? Above 21, you're free from parental control. lol....
I cannot belly dance now lah only, need to be on crutches even if I want to stand up. *bang head*
Lina,
ReplyDeleteWe are both young ladies. hehe....
If we finally go on a trip together to Tokyo, we will dress up as Cosplay characters and go to Harajuku! lol
Hi Lui,
ReplyDeleteI tried learning ballroom dancing through watching DVD but it wasn't easy.
I prefer learning in a classroom with other women. It is more fun. :)
greenzen,
ReplyDeleteYes, one is never too old when it comes to learning. I hope to keep learning as long as I'm able.
Anna,
ReplyDeleteSeems to me ladies prefer to remain as 17, 18 years old. :)
Many of my girlfriends are bitten by the Belly dancing bug too.
hey belly dance is a good workout. I don't think no one is too old to do one..;)
ReplyDeleteAuntie E,
ReplyDelete"Hour glass body" - these are magic words to us women! :P
Now..., I have to learn belly dancing. :D
We don't have any TV program to teach us but such are courses are easily available near our workplace and homes.
BK,
ReplyDeleteOf course one also needs to know her own limits and not get hurt doing something inappropriate.
Queen Bug,
ReplyDeleteI agree. Belly dancing makes one younger and healthier.
Gattina,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you have seen the best belly dances during your travels. I have watched it on TV shows and the ladies are so awesome!
Dancing with the scarf just make the dancer look so sensual! Probably makes the guy come charging like a bull! Olé! haha....
wenn,
ReplyDeletehahaha.... I thought my stiff, old bones was one of my problems to learning belly dancing.... I can't shake well too.
Liza,
ReplyDeleteYes, belly dancing is a great workout!
An hour a day will give us ladies a great figure! :)
That is a "sport" I haven't tried. Actually sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be 21 hahahhaha!
ReplyDeleteyou're only 22 ECL! so you're not too old to belly dance ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is a fantastic form of exercise and no one is ever too old for belly dancing. It makes you feel so energetic and refreshed as well.
ReplyDeleteYou are not too old. I think you would have fun. I say go for it!
ReplyDeleteI feel like 19 still. If I weren't too shy I will try bellydancing too.
ReplyDeleteWe never too old to learn something. Lazy me sometimes but not old, so let's go belly dance.
ReplyDeleteI think I would be 29, mature yet under 30 :p
Age is just a number. So you can do anything as long as you r capable of doing. I am drawn to belly dancing before too. Try it on CD but its more fun with group exercise.
ReplyDeleteCats live in a different kind of time-line than all of you two-legged ladies. If I didn't know how old I was I would say that I was about one year old; recently just a kitten, but now old enough to be considered grown. I live with my real cat-mamma though -- this is unusual, as most kittens get reparated from their mothers -- and she still thinks of me as a kitten, grooms me, etc.
ReplyDeleteBelly-dancing?? I think you should go for it. I don't belly-dance per se, but I do roll around on the floor and try to wrap myself in a scatter-rug. Is that a sort of belly-dancing for cats??
Purrs,
Sara Cat
Never too old to learn something new and get some exercise! So will we see you in costume? :D
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes indeed. Not sure if I can be courageous enough to learn now.;)
