This is one burger that I look forward to eating at the annual Geylang Serai Hari Raya Bazaar. It's Ramly burger!!. .
This year, this stall's Ramly burgers are the best!
Besides adding curry powder and mayonaise sauce to their burgers, there is this brown sauce. I wonder what sauce is that?
*takes a huge bite*

ReplyDeletePrices have been rising. From S$2 each two years ago, it's now S$3.00. :(
It used to be cheap and yummy. It's still yummy.... but not cheap.
Mei Teng,
ReplyDeleteOh, it's been around so long!? I only know of its existence 4 years ago. And I was told it's banned in Singapore, so that's why it is hard to find this burger being sold here.
Whenever I'm in Malaysia, I will look for Ramly burgers. :)
It costs S$3 each. Almost RM6! Expensive hor.
Lina,
ReplyDeleteI was told Ramly burgers are banned in Singapore but I see many stalls selling Ramly burgers at Hari Raya Bazaars. I don't know what's the rule now.

My sons used to eat Ramly burgers for supper back in their school days in our small hometown but now its big Mac double cheese burger for them. The brown sauce is made from beef stock, flour and thick soya sauce.

This is new to me, never heard of Ramly burger before. The brown sauce is BBQ sauce?
ReplyDeleteWhy is Ramly burger banned in Singapore?
ReplyDeleteI think Ramly burger is nicer than McDonalds!
@ECL,
ReplyDeletenever seen a burger with curry powder yet here. Maybe others have?
I think it was banned to non-approved food preservatives or something?
I can't remember ever eating one but if you like it I'm sure I would.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the ban mentioned here occured during the mad cows desease(BSE) period awhile back when beef was risky to eat unless it came from Argentina.
There are many Ramly Burgers stalls in Johore town too.
ReplyDeleteramly burger is always delicious!
ReplyDeleteprovided they have the accurate ingredients! =)
