My Home Office - RT

My Home Office cum Entertainment Room. I have red sofas and my 红颜知己 (trusted companion), Elmo. haha......

I watch the news as I work. Occasionally I would watch a DVD movie or sing karaoke. hehe.....

I drink Chinese tea every day. Since getting this kung-fu tea set and several fine Chinese tea, I have been enjoying this tea culture.

Why don't you look around your office. Do you see a lot of RED? Why don't you post photos of your office for our Ruby Tuesday.

  1. wow! ECL, your home office is Great!

Its so nice that you know the art of brewing tea! I love tea but due to work, seldom have time to consume.

Tea drinking is an art itself and during the brewing, boiling process, one learns many values in life.

Tea is great for health too!

  2. Elmo must have been your favourite office companion? there is definitely a lot of red. I don't have so much red colour things in my office space. Is red your favourite colour?

  3. Wow.. Love your room. Isn't it a projector screen on the wall? Or is it a super wide TV screen? I am dying to have my home office like this :)

  9. singaporeshortstories,
    Thank you.

I learnt tea brewing just a couple of months ago. I was given some very expensive tea leaves from a Chinese tea plantation owner. I have been enjoying tea made from the great tea leaves ever since.

    Tea is wonderful for health!

  10. oceanskies,
Elmo is always in my office. My youngest niece's favourite toy when she visits. I bought this big Elmo for her when I was in Bangkok.

Red is not my favourite colour but it is an auspicious colour. My office has too much dark colours, so I put in the red to brighten it. :)

  23. A red office! I like Elmo. I think the only red in my office are parts of my daughter's toys that she has scattered behind me and beside me.

Whenever my nieces and nephews caome to visit, my office would turn into a war zone. Glad it is not like that for me every day.

  30. I don't really have a home "office" in the usual sense, and in any case the corner where the computer lives is not something I especially want to show the world. I considered my "day job" office, but honestly that's just too boring to look at.

Of course, if I had your home office, I'd show it off meme or no meme! (Not likely that I'd have an Elmo though.)

    ReplyDelete
  31. That's your home office?? Wowee.. how do you work with such a big screen in front of you..hehhe.. I could never concentrate I think...lol!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Mojo,
    haha.... thanks for your compliment.
It's just an home office for me to relax and de-stress from the outside world.

    ReplyDelete
  33. LadyJava,
I watch, .... actually listen to the news on most days on that huge screen.

I have to learn to multi-task. haha....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wah! Great home office. I wouldn't mind having a home office like that (esp the humongous TV screen). :D

    ReplyDelete
  35. lina,
You can have this too! Depends on whether there's a necessity to spend on such luxury item.

For me, the humongous TV screen came with the house when I bought it from the previous owner. :)

  46. Really, if that's not life, what is??

But I guess you would have a tough job in finding a "retired" life style, eh??

    What a life!

    As for your Ruby Tuesday:

My eyes are RED with envy!

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Your red sofa looks so inviting.
I could however not work and watch telli at the same time.
I would be all out of focus.
Chinese tea ceremonies are so calming and elegant performed.
    That's more my style.
(Actually it is not, but I'd like it to be).

  48. Buzzing J,
There's more to life than these material things. lol....

I'm going to a retirement village where we grow our own vegetables and rear our own poultry. I set up this in another country. hehe.... I'm not a taitai, I came from a poor family.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hi Felisol,
Not many people can work with the TV on. :P

I was fascinated with Chinese tea ceremony. So I bought a tea set when I saw one on my China trip. It has been a great way to de-stress. :)

How I would like to go to work in that conditions. Would I work more ? Not sure.
I would forget all the world outside, just blogging.

  57. I work in Hospitals, & Nursing Homes via an agency. The colors are drab. I don't know why they couldn't use a bit more color.

Elmo look like he's ready for some tea. lol

By the way, I was given some Chinese tea. It's called "The Noir Litchi bizz" Do you know if it's good tea, or anything about it?
