PhotoHunt theme : thankful

Singapore is seeing its worst recession in decades. Many Singaporeans have already lost their jobs while others have their salaries cut.

I'm thankful I still have a job.....

I'm thankful there is still food on the table.........

  1. I heard not-so-good news from my relatives in Singapore too. *Sigh*

Anyway, I believe that there is still light at the end of the tunnel.

We will see how it goes. There will be much gloom and doom for the next 9 months. :(

  7. dawn,
    Thank you.

It's sad but true .... people are too self-centred these days... it's all about 'me, myself, I'.

Hope this recession will rally every one to help one another.

  8. I remain optimistic and say the DBS report of 99,000 people losing their jobs by next year is crap. A lot of factors not taken into consideration there...maybe that analyst has to go first!

  9. Despite of our economic recession, I am still thankful for the things we have. I am also thankful for our health and safety.

  10. The Dude,
haha... nobody will want to be an analyst then.

It's good to be optimistic, but from the info I gathered from many sources, it seems gloomy.

Well, you are a headhunter, you know the job market much better.

  11. irel,
This economic recession will pass and I hope to come out of it stronger and wiser.

    God bless.

They were thinking Boss went crazy! haha....

It wasn't arranged. I was dressed in that costume for a photo shoot and I just had this crazy idea to go down to the work site to take pictures.

  16. sasha,
It's tough when we are the breadwinners in our families.

And for myself, I not only have to provide for my family, I have to make sure there is work for my staff as hundreds of their family members depend on the company.

    Happy weekend, sasha!

  18. Hi ECL, everyday I pray to God that hubby will not lose his job!

You look cute in the first photo! :-) Angie

  19. Angie,
I pray that many people will keep their jobs too. It's not good for the economy if too many people are unemployed.

haha... I was dressed for a photo shoot then.

  20. I am thankful for all the same reasons as well even though I had to take a lower paying job. At least life's more interesting now.

Thank you for reminding me to be thankful for the things we tend to overlook. I hope the situation in Singapore will get better.

  21. It's great that you are thankful. We should be thankful that we still have a job. I'm thankful every single day! : )

  22. dieselfire,
Every one in my company has agreed to take home lesser pay so that we can keep every one. No one has to leave.

It's not an easy decision because every individual has different set of problems, but for the sake of our dependants, we do it.

I'm happy it was the employees themselves who made the suggestion that every one stick together and get us through this recession. It was a touching moment.

It's amazing. We may have our differences and disagreements, but when the well-being of family members are at stake, we need to discard whatever discontentment we have with some colleagues and band together to ride through these hard times.

We are just thankful and doing our best. :)
