No
hats in Singapore.
The
hat-wearing culture has never even took off in Singapore.
I was invited to a Ladies Night at a race course. I was requested to wear a
hat.
I was brought to a designer boutique to pick one. There are
hats which will draw all eyes to the woman who want something special at functions or balls. The average price of his
hats are $450. :P
*tightens belt*
To wear for just one night!? I remembered this
hat I wore at my
balls adventure.

It's expensive for a hat but if it's a designer hat, I'm not surprised;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend,ECL!
Yen,
ReplyDeleteDesigner fashion is expensive. The more famous the designer, the more expensive. :)
Happy weekend, Yen!
Yikes hehehe That price tag kinda surprised me there for a bit hehehe but it is a bummer that it wasnt to your liking at least :) anyways aside from the hat I do hope you have a great weekend ahead :)
ReplyDeleteWhatt $450 ? Jeez If I just double that money I could already buy me a good dslr or a trip to Bali.

ReplyDeleteI design a hat with cockroach prints for you at $4.50 aimai?
What expensive hats the ladies are wearing. I will get the limelight by....not wearing any hat, or by making my own paper hat. :P
ReplyDeleteWow! $450 for a hat - designer or not, I rather use the money for a vacation! : )
ReplyDeleteI think these are called bucket hats. I like wearing one of these while walking in the park. Nice take. Lovely lady, that's what you are Eastcoast L.
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. That's too expensive for me. By the way, I would need a new LCD monitor and the rest you can spend in going for seafood dinners in Penang.. LOL~!!

ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised with that price if it's a designer hat..
ReplyDeleteNice pic of you and your hat! ;-)
It's a shame the hat culture hasn't taken off, after all you wear hats well! I have lots of hats, to protect my skin from the sun (and aging) especially while playing golf!
ReplyDeleteOver £200 is a lot to pay especially if they were not attractive! Nice shot of you and your hat ECL.
ReplyDeleteI think that hat shaved 10 years off your age! And I mean that as a compliment! But I wouldn't pay that amount for a HAT! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is expensive for a hat! (of course I had to do some calculations, lol)
ReplyDeleteBut it looks good on you :)
Happy weekend!
I usually see Japanese tourist with that kind of hat that you're wearing in the photo. :-)
ReplyDeleteS$450 for a hat? Can eat a lot of nice food with that amount of $$$. But hey, people covet designer stuff.

ReplyDeleteIf you've won the horse race, S$450 should be no problem ;)
ReplyDeleteS$450?! is the hat made of platinum or something?! wise decision not to give in to the designer-label-mentality...
ReplyDeleteyeah- hats off to you indeed!
$450 is out of my price range for a hat. This is a great picture and a great smile.
ReplyDeleteIf you have time stop by my photo hunt.
JyLnC - Hats
oooh, it will definitely burn a hole in my pocket. no hats for me. hehe
ReplyDeleteAt the limit this could be considered as a hat, but I still don't see Camilla or the Queen wearing that !
ReplyDeleteCute hat :)
ReplyDeleteI played too :)
is crazy 450 for a hat. even if i could afford it, i wouldnt buy it but of coz i couldnt afford it. however if i could afford it, things might b different hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteI saw hats in Bergdorf's in New York for $800 up. They were beautiful, but that is really over the top.
ReplyDeleteDid you go anyway to the races?
Hats are still very big in Australia at the racetrack, especially for the Melbourne Cup in November.
Have a good weekend ECL.
That sure would be a lot of money for something that you would only wear once or twice. My Mommie sometimes wears a baseball cap, but usually her head is too small to wear most hats. Hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteGood heavens, $450 for a hat!
ReplyDeleteYou look very nice in that hat, by the way. :)
I did Photo Hunters today, too! Hope you get a chance to visit.

No way I'm paying that much for a hat! Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteYours is better than ANY designer hat! It makes much more of a statement. :)
ReplyDeleteGood Lord ... the hat is diamond filled or what?!
ReplyDeleteS$450 up?!
Tsk tsk tsk ... high society event izzit?
Great shot of you in your hat. Woa 450 is a lot of money for hats.
ReplyDeleteYou look cute in the hat...Happy weekend.
ReplyDelete$450 for a hat is so outrageous! I wonder if it's adorned with diamonds or maybe gold, LOL. Kidding aside, you look great on that hat!
ReplyDeletethat cant be $450 US dollars???!!! I would almost learn how to make a hat for that kind of money! I played too today, come and visit when you can!
ReplyDeleteI agree,
ReplyDeletecan have a very pleasant time for USD 450 instead of designer "hat".
Your's, by the way, is perfect;)
btw. I've also posted this week
A $450 hat?
ReplyDeleteI like the hat you chose!
Wow! What a hat! I had no idea hats never took off there. Different cultures are so interesting. In England they seem to love hats. I am not much of a hat person myself.
ReplyDeleteYou look cute in that hat! Too much money for wearing only one night. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo of you in that hat! :)
