A luxury mega yacht berthed at °15 Marina Club
Imagine a home with championship golf courses in your backyard and a marina at your doorstep......... own a oceanfront luxury bungalow at Sentosa Cove!
Just a stone's throw away from your front lawn, enjoy high living on the high seas as the world-class °15 Marina Club’s 204 berths are designed to house mega yachts in sheltered waters. The $80 million club is poised to become the Monte Carlo of the East.
*daydreams*
A wealthy client bought a house in Sentosa Cove and a luxury yacht. He invited us to dinner on his newly acquired toy. Envy was written all over my face.
Singapore Airlines first-class passengers receive Salvatore Ferragamo (His or Hers) toiletries and Givenchy pajamas.
He flies first-class on Singapore Airlines to Europe and saved his toiletry pouch to give to me. He also asked for a toiletry pouch for Ladies and many packets of high end tea bags for me. So sweet hor.
Tell myself after oooh-ings and aah-ings at his high end items : My feet must be firmly planted on the ground. *ties bricks to my feet*
In a time of affluence, 'keeping up with the Joneses' is going to create problems. Living within my means is not enough because it means I will spend what I earn. I have to live a lifestyle below my means instead.
Is it the high cost of living or the cost of high living that is leaving people breathless?'
You will Reap What You Sow.

ReplyDeleteeverything getting very expensive. lucky you are blessed with a comfortable life. :)
misti,
ReplyDeleteHuh!!? I have to work very hard for a comfortable life ah!! It didn't drop from the sky! *jumps up n down*
I'm also feeling the pinch from the high prices and I really feel for the less fortunate....
LOL! i half expected your reply to be such! hahahhaa. i meant it's a blessing, however long it takes, to finally live comfortably, and i know you worked very the hard wor. kekekeke
ReplyDeletemisti,
ReplyDelete*Brings out whip*
*crack crack*
I no have comfortable life.... later ppl think crooked, senyet, dirty, notti........
Hey ECL, I envy you for being invited to such a posh place and for getting those gifts too lol! Have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteerrr... i just high five u, can? u live high life, i oso want... hehe...
ReplyDeleteLet's get high... *brings out joint*
ReplyDeleteLOL! Hubby flies first class every time he travels for business and I know that free stuff! haha He keeps all those things too for me:) Nice entry, ECL! Live life to the fullest;)
ReplyDeleteAiks. With my current down time in life, these things really look so damn far away from me... -.-
ReplyDeletegood take on the theme ;) misti is right, with the high prices we should live within our means.
ReplyDeletehappy hunting!
The lower-income are certainly feeling the pressure and the pinch. I know of some folks with very low-income, but as they live within their means, they has almost no debts.... of course, I am aware of people with high incomes, high debts.
ReplyDeleteI suppose you may be very right to live below your means. It can be quite pressurising to be just living within one's means.
mariuca,
ReplyDeleteDon't envy me, I'm a simple person, I don't like to go to posh places. I hate to put on make-up and dress up.
Well... people do have good intentions when they give me gifts... so I will accept with a smile. :)
My angel,
ReplyDeleteHi-5!
Alamak! I'm not living the high life!! I'm just normal working class.
*piak piak angel's head*
lb,
ReplyDeleteYah!!
*brings out red wine, rope, whip...*
yen,
ReplyDeleteWow! You often have free branded toiletries! *envy*
huey,
ReplyDeleteOops....
the high life is not for every one. I prefer a simple life.... less stress and worries.
*hugs*
liza,
ReplyDeleteHope the young people would keep this in mind: what they borrow, they have to return.... sometimes it could be more than what they borrowed.
Every one wants a better life, one shouldn't chase after material things.
oceanskies,
ReplyDeleteEveryone around me is feeling the hard times.... me too. I don't spend on branded or unnecessary items, yet it is getting harder and harder to cope with the rising costs.
There are more elderly folks going through garbage bins, or picking rotting vegetables or fruits in the market every day.
Prices of basic items are rising more than 20% and even up to 100%... yet salaries are not going anywhere near that.
Something living simply is also a joy lar..."ni kan wo hao,wo kan ni hao".
ReplyDeletep/s: I want to be on board there also!! :P
napaboaniya,
ReplyDeleteI'll arrange a trip one day.... soon...
Overnight? anchor near an island? Can cruise to Phuket wor! ^-^
Wow... I didn't know you were that early for this post.
ReplyDeleteAlready 20++ comments.
Yes, the 'high' life if one can enjoy it..
Wah! Living high life is mostly everyone's dreams! How I wish I could too!
ReplyDeleteNevermind, will be like you, work towards that kind of life and wont hope it drop from sky.
That definitely is high living! Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteI could get used to that, lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy PH!!
I live within my means and richness do not impress me. Richness gained from years of hard work gains my respect (my dad has many a friends like that) and to date, they are very humble people still living as if they money is hard to come by.
ReplyDeleteThe younger generation who inherited the money are snobbish, proud and most spend the money too quickly.
I teach my children to live within their means. I can teach but will they listen is another thing. I must admit, I do spoil them. We never use credit cards to buy things if the cash is not in the bank to pay the card when the bill comes.
I believe you are a very astute woman yourself!
Yep, thats a very good point.
ReplyDeleteNice entry for this week's theme!
Have a great weekend!
Another great take on the theme. have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is a great shot!
ReplyDeleteHigh life indeed!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't know how to live the "high" life but it sure looks fun.. yachts and trips sounds sooo nice...but you are very wise to tell us we must live carefully now!
ReplyDeleteVery good take on today's theme. Loved this post!!
This looks so much fun..
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend :)
you reap what you sow, that is living high........
ReplyDeleteECL,
ReplyDeleteYou must be honored to be invited onboard over to his high class yacht for dinner. Showered with gifts too. How nice.
I have my high hunt up early as I'm going out with some ladies from Ipoh tomorrow (my Saturday). Nothing high class. Just high altitude and high air!
*jealous jealous jealous*
ReplyDeleteFlying first class of SIA would be a pious hope for me....not to mention owning a luxury yatch.
Must work harder, and harder and save more and more.....sigh
More than anything else on this post, I love what you said about the living within our means. I so believe in this.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. ANd yes, I also "oohed" over the pictures of the cruiser and those airline freebies.
how wonderful. Great unique take on the theme. :)
ReplyDeletehappy weekend.
Wow... I want. I want. I am drooling to join this millionaire club! But then, not yet millionaire lah me. *heartache*
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent take on the word "high." Wish I could be treated to the "high life" once in a while! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteIt is always nice to have rich 'friends ' so we don't have to be What fun
ReplyDeleteGood work - and next time make sure you fly first class as well!!
ReplyDelete***staring closely at the pajamas*** you do not need this right??
ReplyDeleteWell, I would say that the cost of living has doubled since last year. You can't really get many things with what you earn nowadays.
I missed the boat trip!! The last time I went on a "$2m White Rabbit" to Langkawi with my friends. It was real fun. Luckily it was an invitation as the fuel alone costs 4-figures. **sweat**
great photo for the theme!!! ..
ReplyDeleteJust i'd like for my vacation! Ha! Ha! High comfortable places!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day!
ahh, the high life. I sometimes (most of the time really!) envy these people, with all the luxury at their disposal. if I was there with you in that yacht I would have drooled!!
ReplyDeleteI think that trying to keep up with the Joneses can make quite the dent on one's wallet or purse without making one all that happy. So my suggestion is to try not to do and, instead, do your own thang that gives you pleasure -- and often times, you'll find that that really doesn't cost so much! :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent choices for the theme!/Tyra
ReplyDeletehello eastcoastife...nice interpretation of the team
ReplyDeleteI've never flown first class anywhere. I didn't know I'd get pajamas!!
ReplyDeleteNow that´s what I name "high living". Can anybody beam me over, please? I´d love to spend a few hours on that yacht. *g*
ReplyDeleteHappy Hunting!
high cost of living,my dreams to spend the days...*ah, wake up kiky* :))
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing
I too daydream of living on a luxury yacht! the high life indeed.

ReplyDeleteWah... So high class living (=
ReplyDeleteIt's always free to dream, right? I love daydreaming and visualizing myself in a grand life sometimes. Great choices for the theme.
ReplyDeleteI am drooling too. Don't think I can get this high-life this life.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we are still working towards to this goal.
Oh ECL, this looks like the life to lead. At least you got to visit for a while. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteLiving cost in Singapore is indeed very high! In order to survive a "high" life like that, I wonder how much one needs to earn per month...
ReplyDeleteah, the high life! as per your question...no, i'm just on holiday. :)
