I spy..... eastcoastlife eating in the public library!!!!
Pardon the poor quality of the photos. I was stopped from taking photos by a staff, so I quickly snapped some shots while they were not looking. hehe.....
One company actually reserved this corner for their lunch. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would have stayed around to take more photos.

Wah! Nice woh, Singkapoh's Food Republic... over here, the Food Republic dun hv the public library 'theme' oso... but last nite I saw they have put up some olden days' "gadgets"... like public phones... hehe...
ReplyDeleteMy angel,
ReplyDeleteI hope the food stalls in Malaysia's Food Republic is up to Singapore standard, or else so embarrassing.
The food sold at our Wisma Atria Food Republic is good. But the food at this Suntec City branch tastes bad.
wow couldn't agree with angeles. looks like the food republic over in spore has better settings :P
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend ! :D
satkuru,
ReplyDeleteLooks like I have to pop over to see the Malaysian branch lor. hehe....
Angel, I coming!
I used to work on the 32nd floor of Suntec City. This food court was not around at that time. I loved working there, except trying to get a taxi on a wet night.
ReplyDeleteColin,
ReplyDeleteYes, it's opened less than a year. My company's in Suntec City... I don't think I've seen you. hmmm....
Why didn't they want you taking pictures? You're like a travel brochure that EVEN CANADIANS read!!!
ReplyDeletevalleygirl,
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm promoting Singapore, the places of interest, the businesses here.... and yet many times, I was stopped from taking photos.
A few times I was forced to delete the photos that I took. It's ok. Such places don't deserve to be in my blog.
Someone stopped me before (in a very very rude manner) from taking pictures of Food Republic at Vivo :(
ReplyDeleteI never went back to eat again (the food was only so-so).
ECL, you had me. Thought you were really eating in a library. Hubby is beside me and asked to see if they caught you. LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy entries will be up tomorrow morning.
entrepreneur,
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the one in Vivocity. After the success of Wisma Atria, they tried to recreate the food court but failed.
I admire the company for its creative ideas. I once admired its marketing strategy, now I have second thoughts.
Julie,
ReplyDeletehehehe.... when I first showed my friends the pictures of me eating in a library, their reaction was the same as your hubby's.
hello eastcoastlife!
ReplyDeleteHappy hunt sis...have anice weekend!
This food court at Suntec has a pretty interesting concept. However, I find that with the lunch crowd, I have not much mood to read there.
ReplyDeleteOoorrhh! Later librarian FINE you then you know! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe you tiao store not bad there :P
The decor is nice there, but it's a bit weird with the walkway in the middle with people cutting through to the mall.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am coolingstar9, finally come to singapore blogger site, glad to know that you are promoteing Singapore.
Have a nice day.
I also come from singapore.
Now I am wondering why Malaysia do not have such nice places to dine in. The closest similarity is a cafe in a book store :P
ReplyDeletehttp://crizcats.blogspot.com
Eh? I didn't know they have that in Suntec City. Interesting one. :D
ReplyDeletehaha, you had me too. like julie i thought you were really eating there.
ReplyDeletehappy hunting ;)
Hip hurray - what a hidden secret
ReplyDeleteHaha I knew it wasn't in a library. :P
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
It's a shame they stopped you from taking photos. So competitive are the business world these days that they think you are copying their ideas.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place to shop but your bowl of noodle soup looks nicer.
Wow that's a great place to eat.I like all the books around. I won't try and re create the ambience by taking noodles into teh local library! Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a cool place to eat. I enjoyed your sequence of photos and I don't understand why they didn't want you to take pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh NO!! Now I am dying for a fast food fix!!! And by the way I love love love Asian food...would love to try your food court!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place. I'll remember that just in case...Food Republic, right?
ReplyDeleteBTW, belated Happy Anniversary. We're both wed in March.
Oo.. got library theme ya.. We have a new food republic at Pavillion KL.
ReplyDeleteI love Food Republic although I have only been to the one in Vivocity, Singapore. The theme is of olden days hawker stalls and it was great! I passed by the one in Pavillion, Malaysia before but it doesn't look as good.
ReplyDeleteECL, you look like a terrorist, obviously. LOL. Eating in the library. You are a terror if not a terrorist.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

ReplyDeletereading and eating, some of my favorite things to do!
You got me, lol... here I was wondering if they now allowed eating in our libraries ;-p
ReplyDeleteIt's been years since I've been in one... and our food courts sure don't look like one!
Good job!
Clever take ECL!! Pretty cool decor but I have to agree with you that the food flop big time not to mention pricey man...$3.50 for Prata???
ReplyDeleteAnyways, have a good weekend. The sun is shining out there ;)
Pearl

ReplyDeleteLol! Great spying job! The no photos allowed thingy could be scary sometimes ha...Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteCool...I would have done the same thing (take pics when they weren't looking). I once got a photo of a Swiss Guard at the Vatican before he started yelling "No Pictures!" hee hee
ReplyDeleteI've been stopped from taking photos too in places like that. I loved your take on this week's theme! VERY FUN!
ReplyDeleteI hate when people shoo away cameras! I live for pictures. Love yours as always.
ReplyDeleteWow ... nice place to eat!
ReplyDeleteI love your sequence of photos!
Happy weekend!
It would be so nice to have a hot meal in a library.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun that you had to sneak these pics, makes them seem more "spy" like.
That's so weird they made you stop taking photos. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a good idea to put up a restaurant with the name "Library".
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Eating in the public library.... you are so funny! I hope no one spotter you :)
ReplyDeleteNice! Your country is one I'd absolutely love to visit...
ReplyDeleteThe Singapore food courts are great. I've been visiting Singapore since I was 12 years old and even though I was only there for two days in December, I shot 1000 photographs in that time!
ReplyDeleteLooks a great place to eat noodles:)
ReplyDeletewow that is a nice place!
ReplyDeletegood you have that in your place.
What a nice place ! I am like you, I love to take pictures when it's not allowed, it just adds some spice in a boring life, lol !
ReplyDeleteNice entry, wish I could also eat in a library :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like noodles! I love noodles and what a great place to eat cause I love to eat when I read! LOL Looks like a great place!

ReplyDeleteWhat a neat looking place to eat! I wonder why they didn't want you taking photos though.
ReplyDeletespy mine here
this is a very interesting restaurant.
ReplyDeleteRe the budda, it didn't cost a bomb, lol ! My son bought it when he was in Vietnam and payed the transport fees already there and all together it was not even the third of the price he would have payed if he had bought the budda here in Belgium !
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool!
ReplyDeleteI love that library shot....how come they didn't want you taking anymore pictures? Thanks for the tour...
ReplyDeleteWhat do these people think you're going to do with these pictures?
ReplyDeleteI spy noddles
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty classy food stall there. Too bad about the over-officious staff!
ReplyDeleteI spy some very good food!
ReplyDeleteHappy Hunting!
Mmmm: noodles & tea & books = 3 of my favorite things!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great spy. I wonder how one could smuggle good into the library.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that they stopped you taking pictures! What had they got hide I wonder?
ReplyDeleteSpying the people eating at the food court, some wouldn't want to be observed. Some resto don't want you to take pictures.Been there, done that.
ReplyDeleteLOL... I love Food Republic!! Ate there twice last December.. nasi lemak there is unforgettable..
ReplyDeleteOMG, I was hoping you'd show us the photo of you 'dropping' everything wan! Dang!! Potong stim..
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a real library on the first photo. Suntec City must be one of the lovely places worth checking out in Singapore.
ReplyDeleteCool spying! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos,.. can't believe they made you stop taking photos in there,... what do they think you are going to do with them??? Good grief,...... they were Photo Hunt,...lol. Have a great week.
