Protect our children on the Internet

I've been tagged and this is my first time! Dariana took my first virgin tag!
The project Blogger Power is a campaign to safegard the internet for children against pornography.

A Request To All Webmasters Of Adult Sites:

"Please require a password-protected login before allowing even free access to explicit adult content. We understand that selling porn is your business and we respect your right to make a legal living. But understand our legitimate concerns and work with us. You already have the “warning adult content” on your websites. Yet kids, who are not legal customers of your product, ignore the warning. So to prevent them from having direct access to explicit images, texts and sounds, the simplest way is to have a password-protected login. No more “free tours” before a visitor supplies basic information."

Don't shoot me! It's for a good cause!

I have to tag 20 bloggers to participate in this champaign :

  1. A great initiative! I think it is very important to make the net safe and good also for children. The net is a bless for all who wants to learn and share knowledge and fun and also to meet others. It a disgrace that someone destroy and good part of it for children.
    Keep up the good work.
    Wishing you a happy weekend:-)

  3. There is a show on NBC here in the states called "DateLine NBC" and they have a regular segment called "To Catch a Predator" where a group called "Perverted Justice" pretends to be 13 year old boys and girls and chat in chat rooms. They tell the predators they are home alone and their parents are away. These men come to their homes (which is actually a TV studio built into a house with hidden cameras inside and outside). The men are often up to 50 years and older and want to have sex with a young teen. They approach the decoy (an actor that looks young for her age) and then are confronted by the host of the show. Many of them jump up and run... but whenever they leave a half dozen police are waiting to throw them to the ground, handcuff them, and take them to jail.

  8. Dwacon,
Thanks for bringing our attention to this TV program. I would love to have this program shown on Singapore TV. I think all countries should make such a program to show the youngsters, the evils of the internet & to spread the message to the sex predators that our society do not tolerate their sick tastes.
