4th Rendezvous with French Cinema : Press screening

rendevous

Rendezvous with French Cinema, the French Film Festival, is back with an exciting line-up of 16 movies, unreleased in Singapore and selected among the best of contemporary French cinema, each aiming to reflect French cultural diversity.

I went to a press screening of Quai d’Orsay (The French Minister) at Alliance française yesterday. I really enjoyed this comedy .... learning "the secrets of foreign affairs"....... and love the quotations from the melancholic Greek philosopher Heraclitus whom I have never heard of before this. haha....

Arthur Vlaminck, a young academic preparing his PhD, is hired by the minister to write the great man’s speeches. But first he must learn how to deal with the prince’s moods and his entourage, forging a place between his cabinet director and advisers who haunt the Quai d’Orsay, where stress, ambition and underhand tactics are all part of operations.

    1. I enjoy watching The French Minister (Quai d’Orsay), it's quirky. For some, it might be boring because of the many dialogues. I'm not a film critic so not qualified to rate it. haha....
