午茶时间~~澳门大利来记猪扒包

This is second part of our food hunt on the Hari Raya Haji public holiday. After our morning drive to Kluang where we missed breakfast because the cafe we wanted to visit was closed, we had brunch of fried rice noodles (char kway teow) and kampung chicken rice.

We left Kluang around 3 pm and drove straight to Taman Sutera Utama. I was badly in need of a good cup of tea. After going round the rows of shops, we settled on Ah Hong Kopitiam (亞鴻咖啡馆).

We ordered kaya toast, garlic toast, white coffee and tea. My milk tea was smooth and not diluted. I noticed quite a number of diners ordering the mee siam,
I will try that another time.

We were walking to our car when we noticed a Macau fast food restaurant. We went in and ordered a Tai Lei Loi Kei Macau Pork Chop bun (RM12.90).

Turned out this is a branch of the most famous pork chop bun in Macau. The original Tai Lei Loi Kei is found in the old Taipa Village near the History of Taipa and Coloane Museum. A TV in the restaurant was constantly showing the long queues at the Macau shop.

The pork chop smells good and was flavourful. I would prefer a crispy bun though.

There is a pineapple bun (po lo pao) version. There are choices of steamed white rice or bouncy noodles to go with the pork chop. I would certainly return for the yummilicious pork chop bun again.

It was so delicious, my husband decided to buy one for his good friend Lee Ah Chwee. We delivered the bun all the way to Jurong West. Home delivery service.

It was supposed to for his dinner but we were stuck at the Woodlands Check Point so the bun became Ah Chwee's supper. haha.....

Lee Ah Chwee bought us supper of soupy noodles and drinks. The bowl of rice noodles with fish balls, slices of fish cake and pork fish balls costs $2.50. Cheap and good.

The pork fish balls were bouncy and tasty. I wanted to buy some home but they were sold out.

It was over 1 am when we reached home. We had an exhausting day.
