Fine Dining with a View - PhotoHunt

fine dining with a view

PhotoHunt theme : Wrapped/Amber

Together with another three guests, I was treated to fine dining on a weekday where we were served the restaurant's 3 signature dishes paired with 3 specially-created brandy cocktails. First time I was served brandy for lunch :D

My favourite main course was the Kobe C rib of beef smoked and slow cooked over the wood coals, with sides of short rib hash, tarragon baby vegetables and morel sauce.

Served warm, the Cognac amber brandy developed unique flavours with the addition of Zen Green Tea liquor, cardamon syrup and cinnamon stick.

Ahhhh..... I should drink this before retiring to bed every night. I like the warm, tingling sensation in my face and body after a few sips. :)

A waiter provided us some entertainment as he skilfully poured the warm lobster bisque over seared scallop in a wonton wrapper.

It was paired with a fruity cocktail of brandy, star anise, champagne, creme de cassia, rose water and lemon juice. I used to think only matured drinkers like brandy, these clever creations could attract the younger drinkers.

After this satisfying lunch, I had to return home to sleep. Too much alcohol in a day for me ..... :D
