Favourite Fruit - PhotoHunt

ultra sweet mangoes from Indonesia

PhotoHunt theme : Neat/Your Favourite Fruit

My favourite fruit at this time of the year, sweet mangoes from Indonesia. :) A good friend sent me a crate of Harum Manis mangoes when she visited me recently. These mangoes are the sweetest one I have ever tasted.

During a trip to a small town in Taiwan, fruits were seen arranged in a neat row in front of the altar. The town was celebrating its oldest temple's 103rd anniversary.

Many residents participated in the festive celebration which attracted many tourists. I enjoyed watching the young children's performances which were quite entertaining.

  1. Mango is my family's favorite but there aren't many mangos in near supermarkets. They look really tasty.

    1. Mangoes are costly in Singapore, and if it is not the mango season, they are not sweet. These mangoes were picked when they are 85% ripe, so they are very fragrant and juicy.

    1. For photo shoot, I learn to cut this way from the restaurants. :)

If I am eating a mango, I just peel off the skin and bite into it. hehe....

  3. I love mangos! With a whole boxful, do you have problems with them all ripening at once?

    1. Yes, I did have problems as they were already 85% ripe when I receive the boxful. Luckily I shared them with my relatives. :)

    1. I choose mangoes that are full, plump and round, especially around the stem. Ripe mangoes will always have a strong, sweet, fragrant and fruity aroma around the stem. Do not rely on colour alone to determine the ripeness of a mango.
