Señor Taco's delicious fish tacos
A heavy downpour didn't stop my husband and I from going on our weekly date night. We had an invitation from Señor Taco to savour its authentic Mexican food and drinks in the heart of the city’s nightlife destination, Clarke Quay. Señor Taco has expanded from its original taqueria, moving into a bigger venue accommodating up to 140 diners.
Diners can choose from indoor seating near the bar or outdoors to soak in the ever-bustling nightlife of Clarke Quay’s streets.
For our before dinner drinks, I had a tequila while Chris tried the Corona-rita (S$24). Combining two of Mexico’s most famous exports, a frozen lime margarita and a bottle of Corona beer, the Corona-rita creates a fun new experience for the two of us who don't drink. I was expecting the tequila to "burn my throat".... well, I felt fine except being slightly tipsy for the rest of the night. haha....
Tacos al Pastor @Señor Taco
Señor Taco introduces us to a traditional, delicious range of tacos and quesadillas. Their Tacos al Pastor are amazingly yummy. They are the most difficult to find outside of Mexico as the recipe is typically passed from father to son and is kept a family secret. Tacos al Pastor are made from juicy meat that has been marinated in a secret recipe and cooked in a rotisserie. They are then garnished with cilantro (coriander), onion and pineapple and finally topped with your favourite Mexican Salsa.
We were served a selection of open-faced tacos which use locally made fresh corn tortillas and served with house-made salsas, ranging from the mild (Guacamole) to the extra-hot (Habanero) to bring out the best flavours.
Love the pork tacos
Of the four, we like the fish and pork tacos best. The fish meat is fresh and the Mexican salsa is very refreshing and appetising. The diners were enjoying their food and drinks while an in-house Sound Lab mixing music got the energy going.
yummy .... taste like our deep-fried dumplings :)
Founder Alejandro Blanco went round each table to make sure his guests are well-fed. :) His friendly crew made sure our glasses were filled.

We rarely dine in Mexican restaurants, probably because not many Mexican restaurants serve authentic Mexican food in Singapore. After this memorable Mexican experience at Señor Taco, we are learning to enjoy the cuisine and drinks more.
