To a Good Start - RT/WW

On the first morning of the year, we accompanied our elders to Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery to offer prayers. While they chanted the sutra for hours, ....

I walked around the temple grounds and found this man standing outside the back doors, praying alone ......  for more than an hour.

Beside a huge Goddess of Mercy statue, I found these adorable statues. I took individual photos of them as each one wears a different expression on its face.

The monks plant their own vegetables in one part of the temple grounds. They were blessed with a good harvest.... and the fruits of their labour were huge!

I wish for a good harvest this year too. :)

  17. I love these temple photos. The colors and ground are so vibrant and alive. The man praying alone was obviously in some despair and I hope he has now found some comfort.

  22. Those statues are so cute :) hehehe Hi ECL, I missed this place much :) Been uber busy since being promoted to Account Manager and been working on getting new agents before the month ends. I nearly died when they told me I had to hire 700 qualified candidates. So as of right now am multi-tasking like crazy. :) But am getting back into my old habits :) so expect your weekly visitor to be back more often ;) xoxo
