I was scheduled for a major surgery on 7th May but it was postponed twice. A day before my surgery on 4th June, my haemoglobin level was too low, so the surgery was called off.
Subsequently I was sent to different specialists to investigate the cause of the low blood count. They suspect a leak somewhere.
Tomorrow morning I have to undergo endoscopy procedures. They are going to put a tube with a video camera attached to one end to examine my esophagus, stomach, duodenum and colon. I hope the same tube is not used to examine my colon and esophagus. eewww.....
lol
Today is a whole day of fasting. Not fun to be sick. *pouts*

I don't know what kind of surgery you have to have, but I wish you all the best ! The chinese medicine looks like Worcester sauce ! Endoscopy sounds scary but isn't I had to do that too. It's kind of funny that they film your insides !
ReplyDeleteAll the best for your upcomming surgery. Will be praying for you :)
ReplyDeleteOh, got sick must take a drug. The Chinese medicine is good, is some painstakingly. : )
ReplyDeleteHealthy Life & Marvelous world

I had endoscopy before... not a good experience. :(
Thanks for your prayers, Dominque.

Best wishes ECL! I hope the procedures are not too bad, and that you will have a speedy recovery when you have your surgery.
ReplyDeleteHope all will go smoothly. Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's not much fun ECL. I hope your surgery goes well
ReplyDeleteEcl
ReplyDeleteNothing to worry about. After the procedure, you will be fine. Best wishes.
What surgery is that? I hope all goes well. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about this, ECL. What surgery are you going for, if you don't mind telling. (You don't have to tell if you don't want to): )
ReplyDeleteYes, low haemoglobin level means you have a leak somewhere. Hope all turns out well. Will also pray for you. Be positive and everything will turn out fine : )
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the endoscopy procedures. They won't use the same tube for checking your colon. That would be colonoscopy. I have done a colonoscopy before and I didn't even feel a thing cos I was under anasthetic (not sure if I spelt this right! haha)
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I hate about colonoscopy is the preparation before the surgery. I have to clear everything from my colon and they made me drink 3 large bottles of some kind of liquid. It was the hardest thing for me to do cos I could not stand the taste of that liquid and almost vommitted every time I drank it!!
ReplyDeleteBut after that, had a nice video recording of my insides (the whole colon passage) for me to view. Still keeping that video in my house! Haha!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely not fun to be sick. Hope everything will work out well for you. Just give thanks to God for your good health and you will get over this, I'm sure : )
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not something bad. You take care of yourself. I'll pray for you.
