Yes, Eastcoastlife, I think this is amazing, easy and fun. I can do it. Only that I do not know Chinese characters, with the exception of "man" and "woman". But I know Japanese, after a recent meme. LOL!!!
Happy WW/WT, ECL! Did you know horses paint that way for therapy. And artist, Joni Erikson also paints that way, with her mouth. She can't use her arms due to a diving accident in 1967 that left her a quadriplegic. http://www.biblesociety.ca/hearts_lives/one_verse/tada.html ..
There are so many amazing things to learn about in this world. Chinese calligraphy is an art by itself. To use other parts of the body to hold the brush is an even greater feat.
Jim, The artist is perfectly healthy but he chooses to write using other parts of his body. I think he's awesome! And so do all the artists who have found alternate ways to express themselves.
jean, When writing calligraphy, it is not necessary to understand the meaning of all the words. You will be taught the strokes and you have to practise hard.
If you are really passionate, you would learn more about the meanings behind each Chinese character and then the poems or idioms. :)
ummmmmmmm nope couldn't do that....lol oh and if you think the cherries will go thru the mail ok let me know and if I can fight the birds off........I will get you all you want...lol
