eastcoastlife takes on the civil service of Singapore....

eastcoastlife with PM Lee Hsien Loong at a Istana Chinese New Year Tea Party

It has been 8 years of Hell, I've been waiting patiently for this day to come. Finally.... it's pay back time.

Am I not afraid that I would be sued, jailed, made a bankrupt? No.

I decide to give up my life and my son's. No point living in pain and suffering. Keeping quiet is akin to admitting I'm guilty, I'm to blame. Now, come what may. I'm not going to keep my mouth shut.

Ordinary Singaporeans suffer when civil servants care only about themselves - how to keep their jobs while trying to do as little work as possible, must have a salary comparable to the private sector and to further their careers at all costs.

They have 'one big family' policy within their ministries and departments. When there are problems, they band together as a 'family' to cover one another's backsides and worse, cover up.

A few years ago, a threatening note was found in my mailbox, with a warning "Shut up! Or you'll never see your son again".

On 1st February 2008, my son's Friendster and Hotmail accounts were hacked into. Contents in his Friendster account were replaced with pornographic photos and defamatory comments. Vulgar emails were sent to female friends. We made a police report and until this day, it is still pending investigation. Mas Selamat's escape is a good excuse.......

No holds barred - real names, real photos, real happenings on

  4. 8 years is a long time...

No one, including you, deserves to be threatened. Everyone deserves to live in a place where he/she feels safe and is respected.

May safety be with you and your family.
