I love to find hotels that have uniquely-designed bedrooms. Some hotels in Taiwan and Thailand are so fun to stay.

    Nope... that Penang trip was fun, my visitors were fun but not the hotel. I will never patronise that hotel again.

  9. some say (my hubby always does this) to knock on the door before entering the hotel room for the first time, so to let 'them' know you are going in, hence 'they' won't disturb you.

  14. Gee, eastcoast, I've never seen hotel rooms like that! I don't think we have such rooms except maybe in Disneyland or Disney World...:)

  19. Lovely examples of beds all around the world. As a Norwegian, I would feel most at home in the second one of course. If you feel its a bit 'cold', I know a Viking who could warm you up LoL

    Such rooms cost slightly more. There are theme hotels in Thailand that cost quite a lot to stay one night. I'll post them one day.

    Yes, always knock before entering a room.

    A Taiwanese Fengshui Master taught me some ways to counter this problem. I'll post it up tomorrow.

  44. Tell you what. I feel like checking in that Jungle Room today and be an animal and unleash some energy. Heheh. But seriously, it cracked me up watching the theme. My son would love those stuffed animals. They're stuffed right? Nothing real in there?

  45. Before I went to Bangkok last year, I found quite a lot of hotels with interesting decoration. I stayed in one of them and just love it. I wish I could go to Bangkok again and tried another one - maybe the fairy tale one!?

  55. I would love to stay in one of those fairy tale room, but the jungle room... freak me out esp in the middle of the night. I will start to imagine those animals becoming real... like the show "Jumanji"... LOL :)
