Besides shopping for Chinese New Year goodies, I also have to shop for furniture and bathroom fixtures for my new house.
I want to have an outdoor bathroom, where there will be no roof above it, with lots of green plants surrounding me when I shower. I dream of showering under the stars...... like Jane of the jungle. When it rains, I can save on water. kakaka......
But when it gets windy.......... how???? High above ground, with an ocean view. I cringe at the thought of myself crouching in the bushes, shivering as I try to wash off the soap suds and shampoo.......... it doesn't seem like a good idea after all.
Peeping Tom!? Nay. He would have to be Spiderman to do that. And which man in his right mind would want to peep at a flabby middle-aged woman who can throw a mean chopper? He had better go goggle for Hong Kong celebrity, Edison Chen's (陈 冠 希) sex scandal photos. tsk tsk tsk....
Example of an outdoor bathroom
Any one wants to make my dream come true? Give me some ideas for an outdoor bathroom.

ReplyDeleteWhat about a rain bucket?
ReplyDeleteMy angel,
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one! I mean the retractable glass roof lah! aiyoooh!
Nowadays so scared of home videos and also sexy photos, later fall into the wrong hands, how???
Cocka,
ReplyDeleteOutdoor bathroom not bath!!
Bathe in Singapore River can be fined! Singapore is a fine city, don't play play. ^-^
wilfrid,
ReplyDeleteGot a photo of the outdoor bathroom in Koh Samui? I want to feel the shiok too!!!
Captain Picard,
ReplyDeleteYou mean a rain hat, or the rain monitor?
I would have built an exposed bathroom in my place too, in Malaysia, except I won't be around much, thus that's not a very good idea.. Anyway, I can always drop by to SIN for a frisky au naturale shower, right? *dreams of waterproof wheelchairs*
ReplyDeleteI have no clue, but the thought of you heaving a meat cleaver at a peeping tom....now THAT's priceless, my friend.
ReplyDeleteeastcoastlife,
ReplyDeleteNeed outdoor bathroom ah? Later got insect dancing in the bath tub with you, how? :P
a friend of mine has it enclosed in the middle of the house, so the only way to peep in is from the top! it also acts like an indoor garden, so lush, so green...
ReplyDeleteU can have it indoors just with a huge glass window to give it that outdoor feel!
ReplyDeleteAnd outdoor bathroom is a little out of my forte. One moon in the sky is enough! HA
ReplyDeleteJust drop by to wish you Keong Hee Fatt Chye.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea on the bathroom ideas, but that first tub looks neat!
ReplyDeleteMy Weekend Snapshot
I have an award for you, Young lady! haha... Outdoor spa with a massage bed beside? Better choose a nice canopy to cover it. So that your skin won't suffer. hehe...
ReplyDeleteThe only set back is you can't see the sky. But you can still see the surrounding views.
Remember to collect the award before New Year ya...

Unless that spiderman has got a death wish, I dun think he'll risk climbing the rooftop kwa? heehee..
ReplyDeleteeh woman, you moving out of the east arh? :(
Quite an interesting photos there,Eastcoastlife! :) Love the hot tub! LOL
ReplyDeleteAn outdoor rotemburo like the one I had in Japan would be really, really nice :)
ReplyDeleteBut I would have to constantly worry about the odd bird flying pass who may possess 'excellent' aiming skills...
That's a unique tub, to be sure. At first glance I thought it was a basket! Sounds like a dreamy bathroom you're designing.
ReplyDeletehmmmm..I will go with Angeles rectangle glass all around might be a good idea for that "glass wall, roof and door"..But please does use that alien tub that will mess up the whole thing..lol..
ReplyDeleteso you bought the alien bath tub/jacuzzi bo??
ReplyDeletelook very good! something to hold to if you cannot stand up?
haha...
I will send some stalkers in a helicopter over to make pictures of you soaping up in an open bathroom ! If you don't send me 10000000 €(this is blackmailing)
ReplyDeleteThat's sure one cool tub.
ReplyDeleteI had fun reading!
Emm....that outdoor bathroom looks quite nice but I think quite hard to maintain leh. Imagine through out the year, those beautiful white river pebbles become yellowish and then those hair stuck in between....how about planting lots of fruit trees in a circle and then you can bath within. Can also eat fruit while bathing too! Hehehehe
ReplyDeletei must make friends with your contractors and slip in hidden cameras. :P
ReplyDeleteI remember my friend telling me of an outdoor bathroom at a nature spa she went to.
ReplyDeleteI like the thought of taking a shower or relaxing in the tub under the stars. Perhaps, instead of being totally open, you can have some sort of sliding glass window top (if that's possible).
What a cool jacuzzi! An outside bathroom ~ interesting.
ReplyDeletewuah a dream come true...i once was in such a bathroom. it was huge and had a small open roof which could b closed by pulling a string.
ReplyDeleteit was full of tropical lush jungle plants. absolutely beautiful. i was hoping someone would come n peek at me but no laku nobody want to come and see me take bath hahahahahhhahahah
I actually have an outdoor shower on my deck because I wanted to shower amidst the plants. My deck wall is the privacy. However, it can only be used in the summer. I have to drain the pipes in the winter so they don't freeze. Problem is I didn't do it well enough one year and I have a leak in the hot water pipe. I can't afford to get it fixed so I only have cold water. Still nice to take a quick cold shower in the summer to get the dirt off me after gardening. Good luck with yours. Outdoor showers are great!
ReplyDeleteyou can have your outdoor bathroom, you need maybe a sliding door if the weather is bad so you can close it in and what angeles says a retractable glass roof if it rains. hehehe..
ReplyDeleteOh thats cute shot. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI will feel lost in the bathtub but it looks like a giant basket made of porcelain!
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool jacuzzi!!! It must be comfy?
ReplyDeleteAn outdoor bath...maybe it would be designed like it's in the outdoors. All plants and a glass roof so you can bath under the stars. :)
ReplyDeleteOutdoor bathrooms are great! I've used them in South Africa, and also in Mauritius. Gives a very natural atmosphere, but you need to be able to relax, and not worry about who's going to be spying on you! :P
ReplyDeletethe tub look nice, I like to have a warm bath there...:-D
ReplyDeletethe tub looks pretty cool (^0^)
ReplyDeleteThose photos are so cool. I've just discovered your blog and it's really cool but I'm confused about the line in the header about someone wanting to hurt your son...?
ReplyDeletethat bathtub looks keewwl... alien or not! err... can go to the swimming pool and shower there or not? afterall, there is outdoor shower :P
ReplyDeletei've seen the edison site. whoa! it wasn't him my hubby was staring at, but cecilia cheung! (NATURALLY!!)

ReplyDeleteKIONG HEE KIONG HEE! KUNG HEI FATT CHOY!!!

hmmmm... all i can think about is a jacussi tub in an environmental setting like flowerbeds and white stones and sands. very cozy!
ReplyDeletedig a well and cover the well 4 corners with zinc. there u got ur outdoor bathroom the kampong style. FOC water, from top and bottom. hehehe....
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! :)
Happy Chinese New Year to you and your family and everyone!
ReplyDeleteI only used an outdoor shower when I was honeymooning in Maldives. It was part of our room and cannot see from outside wan..unless you use a ladder.... but if you do have one in your house, I will be glad to use it :)
ReplyDeleteWell I love outside showers, a hot tub I think I'd leave the toilet indoors though!!
ReplyDeletewow... showering under the stars... never thought of that before...
ReplyDeleteHappy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai! :D
love the sound of it!
ReplyDeletei'd make it natural as it sounds. no concrete walls or modern furnitures. i want it to be traditional with lush greenery surrounding the bath.
check out the four seasons langkawi outdoor baths... i mean that! woooh so pampering!
http://www.fourseasons.com/langkawi/photo_gallery/

ReplyDeleteGood luck figuring out your perfect outdoor bath. I've never lived anywhere warm enough year round for that but showering under the stars does sound nice.
