High Tea in Tiong Bahru 在中峇鲁喝下午茶

TB Hi tea2

Tiong Bahru is one of the oldest residential estates in Singapore. We had lunch at the Tiong Bahru Hawker Centre and then spent an hour searching for two wall murals under the scorching hot sun.

Tired and almost roasted, we decided to plonk ourselves down in a cafe and tuck into an inviting scone and hi-tea set.

TB hi tea

A kind staff was so nice to serve us the scones individually. A pity they ran out of jam plus they don't serve clotted cream, we were given butter and honey. Would have been better if there was clotted cream and jam. It didn't matter then because I didn't eat much.

TB Hi tea3

What a way to spend a leisurely afternoon .... and in a charming estate.

It being a weekday, there was lesser humans and traffic. Must remind ourselves to take time out to indulge in a decadent afternoon tea every once in a while.

在中峇鲁享受下午茶、吃英式司康, 度过一个悠闲下午的时光,真幸福啊♥。
