EastCoastLife Checks-in to DBS Places

DBS Bank recently launched the first regional Facebook Places and Check-in Deals campaign in Asia (Singapore; Hong Kong; Mumbai, Jakarta; Taipei). Facebook users can check-in to Facebook Places to enjoy special deals at selected partners.

The campaign is open to anyone who owns a supported mobile device (iPhone app and browsers of Android and Blackberry).

Users just have to visit the DBS Facebook fan page to get started (http://www.facebook.com/dbs)
 

Users checking in to “DBS Places” (http://www.facebook.com/dbs?sk=app_224458777596784) will be able to earn points and redeem surprise merchant deals throughout the campaign

Once you’ve registered, you’re able to start using your phone to do check-ins

With the iPhone you use the Facebook app to check-in
With BlackBerry and Android you use the mobile browser to do the check-ins

The campaign ends on 5th September, the highest point earner of each country will earn a three day two night vacation of their choice to Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India, Indonesia or Taiwan.

I find it a bit confusing to use at first but once I am familiar with it, it is quite useful. My first experience checking out a DBS merchant vendor last night with my family and an overseas friend was rewarding.

I had dinner at El Toro. Restaurant Manager Mr Douglas Singh and his crew made us feel at home with their warm service. For my young overseas guest, it was a memorable dinner for her. 

Panama Pan Fried Black Cod Fish - 4 ★
