Yen,
First commentator!

You're back from Tokyo? Happy weekend!

Crazy hot-ness.

I wish I was a kid again.

You have a good weekend!

eastcoastlife said...

wilfrid,
Yah.... crazy weather. One by one my family members and students are falling sick and school reopens on Monday! Gosh.

At the Clark Quay fountains, adults play in it too. :)

Yeah it's really hot these few days, it rains a little at night but not good enough to disguise the heat! We have the AC on from morning till night!

eastcoastlife said...

farah,
After raining, the temperature is worse. I dislike getting hot and sticky in this weather. yucks.

Carver said...

It's hot and humid where I live too. The child cooling off in the water has the right idea. Happy weekend.

eastcoastlife said...

carver,
Oh, it's summer now in the States.

Ice-cream would be popular for cooling off! :)

Huey said...

Oh yes... Penang has been very superbly hot for the past one week as well... except for yesterday. LOL. Thanks for the wishes. :D

eastcoastlife: I miss the bumboats that weren't operated by electricity.

Perhaps it is due to the fact that I would visit the Singapore River every now and then especially when I was feeling down or lost in the past, and the bumboats simply make the river a little interesting to look at.

Meantime, keep cool, at heart. ;)

Want to be part time swim instructress? Can be in the cool water for hours :P

I remember dancing in that fountain late at night very drunk one night. Fun times and very wet. Not so good in a cold climate, but in Singapore, perfect.

Doreen said...

The first pic reminds me of my nephew. He likes to play with this water fountain everytime he goes to Bugis. (It is in Bugis right? I couldn't quite remember.)

Chen said...

The weather is equally hot in Penang too. And this morning, it's hazy..

Aiyh... :(

TiOheM said...

It's stormy here in the Philippines. I love to bathe in the fountain too.

sho said...

hey! I was at Central last night!
I was in my usu tee n shorts and of course, I felt completely out of place among the crowd dressed in office or party attire. But I don't really care. Haha. The night view of the river from Billy Bombers Al Afresco seating (we had the best table according to the waiter) was stunning.

jmb said...

Good photos ECL, I love the little girl in the fountain. Could we have a few degrees of that heat. It's freezing here considering it's summer.

napaboaniya,
I cannot swim lah! malu hor? hehe...

crazy working mom said...

Wow, very great water shots! I love it. :)

eastcoastlife said...

colin,
Whoa!! What fun! I do see some adults and tourists cooling themselves in the fountains. It's supposed to be that way. It's just that many Singaporeans are law-abiding and also shy. They wouldn't think of doing that in the public although it's going to be fun. :)

eastcoastlife said...

Doreen,
There is a similar and popular fountain in Bugis which Jaymes love to play too when he was younger.

This one's in Clark Quay, Singapore River.

eastcoastlife said...

Hello Chen!
Long time no see ah! *hugs*

Is it a good time to visit you? I die die must try the durians this time!

eastcoastlife said...

sho,
It's common for Singaporeans to be in tees and shorts. The weather's so hot! I think many young people would prefer to discard their cumbersome clothes if they will not be fined. hehe....

ahhhh.... I'll try to get the table at Billy Bombers too when I'm there the next time. :)

eastcoastlife said...

jmb,
Freezing in summer? I will gladly give you a few degrees from my side. :)

Clarke Quay! Stayed near there recently and you photos made me digged out some fond memories :)

eastcoastlife said...

horsoon,
What were you doing at Clark Quay? Work or a night out? :)

Many foreigners at Clark Quay love to jump into the river for a dip.... it can be very hot and humid in Singapore.

There are guys competing against each other to see who can swim the fastest to and from the width of the river after a few drinks. Crazy but fun-loving people. hehe....

Mariuca said...

Ha ha I like the first pic, the little girl looks like she's part of the fountain! Happy weekend dear! :)

eastcoastlife said...

mariuca,
She was enjoying herself, running and screaming as the jets of water hit her. hehe.... I couldn't get her to stand still!

Happy weekend!
