Free stuff given at the Open House of a local polytechnicI used to wonder how many free things I can get from around me. Whoever said I couldn't get something for free, sure was wrong. All it required is a little bit of time and research.
I realise that I can get thousands of free stuff from the Internet. They can be things like free pens, free scripts, free web hosting, free memberships and subscriptions to online sites. There's even free cash!
Doing surveys is another way to get great free items. There are a lot of companies out there that need people to test their products. I'm currently doing regular surveys for 3 companies and sometimes not only do I get free products, I get paid too!!
Often there are many exhibitions and Open Houses in Singapore. There are lots of free stuff to be given out at such events. Free snacks and beverages might even be provided, sometimes a yummy buffet meal if the company is huge.
I know several places where you can get free meals but I only tell that to the needy. The kind and generous donors are giving something back to the society, we cannot abuse their kindness.
Being a well-connected and popular figure (ahem... ahem....) also has its privileges. I often get free movie preview tickets, free tickets to concerts, performances, matches, free samples and meals at product launches.......... etc.
Why do so many businesses give away free stuff and why are there so many of them doing this? They have their many reasons of course. One of the main reasons is so that they can promote their business. When these businesses give away free things, they normally print their business details on the free stuff, which will in return give their business more exposure to the consumers.
There is a ton of resources available. Go out and do some searching and get your free stuff.
If you want me to give you the names of companies or websites where I get my free stuff, you have to give me a treat. Lunch, spa treatment, branded chocolates, hot date ...... I'll take them!! hehehe....

In my mind, nothing is free per se. I suppose its a matter of perception. I sense a never-ending supply of whatever we truly need. Its a question of raising our awareness to recognize what is available and where. As our minds open, we give of ourselves to help people. As we contribute to the world, this giving is reciprocated by the Universe. Nothing comes from nothing. When you have a good heart, you invite what you need into your life. Your senses also open up to discover where to look. Your self-love and intentions shape your perception.
So nice....got so many free stuff! Whenever I heard FREE my eyes become BIG BIG! Hahahha. You giving out anything free by any chance? Hehehehe

we used to get a lot of free samples in the mail, but that just doesn't happen anymore. Seems companies here are cutting back on free give-aways, unless they have a very distinct target audience (like at certain fairs and community events)

Karma is certainly a way you could choose to look at what appears "free." I think our thoughts and behavior lead to whatever situations, events and relationships we experience.
In short, nothing is free in this world. At least there is a cost of certain effort involved. hehe...
